The cards that make the deck so expenssive are: Cavern of Souls, Noble Hierarch, Horizon Canopy and Aether Vial.
Where Hierarch and Cavern of Souls are just going up and up in price.

I like the idea of including Harsh Mentor in the list. Walking Ballista seems like a hard hitting Thread, especially equipped with a Basilisk Collar.
But versus Lantern Control i would say i like the Kataki a bit more. Due to shuting down the Mana he can use to establish the lock even further and maybe finding the Removal for Harsh Mentor.
