Sry for bumping this up, but is there a chance to make that happen?

Hi there. :)
I started putting leftover-cards in my casual decks sideboards. Problem is, i have so many active, i just cant find anything if i want to search for it.
I regulary use the "search only in your decks" option to find specific cards and see where i put them.

Is it possible to make a new option to include the sideboard in your search?

Regards!

Good point, since 3 days ago, i even have several blossoming defense freed up again and lying around. Thank you, havent thought about putting them in this one. Since the rune is strictly better than settesan training, i'll switch those around .

About Deckstats / Re: Small Updates

Obvious troubleshooting questions:
Deleted cookies/temporary internet files?
Updated flash?
Have you installed Noscript and somehow have to unblock certain scripts again?
Tried a different browser? (IE is discontinued afaik)

I suppose its possible to program an app that lets you scan your cards (most magic apps already use the the gatherer database, so wizards doesnt seem to have any problems with that). Card number x/y in the bottom corner and edition symbol should be enough to identify the cards pretty fast.
But it surely wont be possible to play "real" magic with that cards/decks. AFAIK, the rules set is "copyrighted" ( maybe thats not the right term, but anyways...). Thats the reason why multiple TCG tools, like cockatrice or dedicated magic tools dont have the option to automate the rules. You have to tap...draw cards... create tokens...put into graveyard...a.s.o. all by yourself.

If you are okay with that, you can already do that (like mentioned: with cockatrice for example). You just have to enter your decks manually or import decklists you can create on deckstats f.e. (will take a much smaller amount of time than scanning them) and start playing right away.

General Magic / Re: Can I play Tuch of Moonglove on a Coral Barrier?
« on: July 24, 2015, 04:39:14 pm »
In short: Only as a defender :)

Long version:

you can target your coral barrier with touch of moonglove, but it won't make you able to attack with the barrier. The reason for that is easy ... it doesn't state that it can attack as though it hadn't defender, it also doesn't state that creatures with defender lose defender.

Everything else still works as written. You can target the barrier, the barrier can block ( its an instant after all) and the creature which gets dealt damage will be put into the graveyard (if not for regeneration, indestructibility or smth. like that)

Thanks a lot for your response, even though the tournament is already over (did 4 so far). We knew about emperor already, but i agree, its really fun and very customizeable, everyone should try it out :)

General Magic / Re: Cards with the same theme
« on: March 30, 2015, 07:45:18 pm »
these "themes" are often called "cycles". you can look them up on several pages, including mtg-salvation wiki ( for example on every editions/sets main page)
there are also mirrored pairs (soul of harves - harvester of souls) and other types of cycles ( common, uncommon, rare small cycle (splicers) for example)

Not all cycles fall into your category though, like random common/uncommon cycles ( clan specific creatures from KTK for example)

General Magic / Ideas for multiplayer session
« on: March 30, 2015, 04:31:21 pm »
Hi there.

I want to host something like a 24h magic casual game day.
We usually meet up 4 times every 3 weeks, and play from 8pm til 4am in groups of 4-8 people, just having fun and drinking beer. Regular 60 card decks, no EDH, random deck selection from my deck pool.

This time, i want to try something different and i still need some ideas for that.

Despite the obvious stuff like tribal wars, guild wars, continent wars, clan wars, theme based decks against others, ffa, 2HG, a.s.o., i thought about something like "scripted scenarios".

Like boros defense of sunhome ... 2 boros players play against three others with simic, golgari and dimir decks. To even out the disadvantage, they can cast Agrus Kos commanderlike by paying his manacost (+1 for further summons) and start out with 2 walls, getting another wall every 3 turns. As soon as 1 of the dimir/golgari/simic decks is defeated (if), experiment kraj enters the battlefield for free. So we kinda replay the story from the first ravnica cycle, more or less. I dont care much about the balance, as long as we have fun.

What do you think? Any ideas for me? Other great multiplayer ideas? Having a set of planechase cards aswell, no vanguard cards or other stuff like that though...

I'd be glad for any help offered:)

Deck Comments / Re: U Metalcraft aggro - Comments

Hi

I'am thinking about improving this deck for casual playing, i also might go and try this for fun in a modern event around the corner. Exchanging the sol ring is not a big deal, but my problems are with :
a) mana
b) argent sphinx

I got 4 sphinxes, but i want to stay aggro and keep the average cmc low. I could also play a fourth thoughtcast.
I dont really know what i should sacrifice for a steadier manabase and what i should take out if i want to play my sphinxes ( not necessarily 4 of them) . I suposse they are sidebord-only material anyways, if i need to blink in and out against a lot of removals. I am also not sure if the juggernaut is really worth it, even though he's only vulnerable to exile ( i guess he will not DTD or similar stuff once he comes out). Additionally, a pumped up juggernaut with 2 infiltration lenses and a voltaic key to untap him is pretty awesome and already won me many lategames in casual multiplayer environements.

Any thoughts ?

seeing that sol ring is banned everywhere (despite commander obviously), and restricted in vintage, i expect your friends to be angry at you when you're playing them as 4-ofs.

what about nykthos shrine to nyx, if you search for swamp alternatives ?

edit: its also included in the "new" M15 clash pack, but there arent that many great cards in there to make your money worth it, depending on what you need , but some solid cards are included (temple of mystery, aetherspouts, courser of kruphixgenesis hydra, hydra broodmaster, prophet of kruphix, ... mostly casual cards, not so much standard, but courser alone is worth it for some players).
