maybe i'm missing a portion of the combo but i'd say oracle of mul daya and/or crown of convergence could help with keeping mana out for you to combo off of

my only suggestion for if you want the wand to do more than set up the combo, would be to throw in a few quietus spike(s) which will create an alternate combo potential (damage combo, not insta-kill) when used on a creature other than famished paladin. you could also throw in viridian longbow or replace the sorcerer's wand entirely with viridian longbow as it has the same effect and cost as the sorcerer's wand within the confines of your deck with the added ability to poke creatures/ kill creatures when combined with quietus spike.

soul catchers' death flock

wondering if there might be ways to speed this up while keeping it a budget deck or just any feedback in general 

semi slow deck, relies on getting as many soulcatchers' aerie as early as possible and with optimum conditions should get proper burial and true conviction mid game. includes a few stall mechanics and a couple ways of getting the cards you need to complete set up.

alternate ways to pump low cost birds are included as a safety net or to add insult to injury.    cost of main board about $25

side board includes situational cards and "that could be interesting" cards.
 cost of side board about $9

maybe board is for if you want to dump lots of money at this to replace plea for guidance with a easier to use card.  idyllic tutor about $22 per card
