Hi MagicPlayer1080!
Thanks for the advice, and for such a quick response. I sincerely appreciate it!
So I tried the changeling route -
https://deckstats.net/decks/117378/1110076-reaper-king-with-help-from-red/en is actually the current version of the deck. I don't think it's on par with the vampire deck unfortunately. It was generally about 2-3 turns too late within my playgroup (we play like .5 to.75 "competitive" decks, but did the things it was trying to do. I've only been able to play like 10 games with it, but it's only won in 2HG games (teamed with vampire deck). In a 4 person FFA, I was actually able to
New Blood Reaper King who was being piloted by a buddy, and changed all scarecrows to all vampires...and it was fantastic! LOL, it only lasted 3 turns but I put 9 vampires into play and destroyed 9 permanents in one round. I'm not sold on the changeling archetype, while it would allow for me to remove the creature type enchantments. I think the artifact archetype has much more fuel for it, and many more lines of play. It's more of a toolkit type of deck rather than straight linear tribal.
I think I need changes to the mana base primarily as well. Would you/anyone be able to assist me with that? I don't want to spend too terribly much (no dual lands), but happy to hear suggestions.
I've found myself considering taking the planeswalkers out as well. Some of them make combos with other parts of the deck, but I think they would be some of the first to go. I can only protect them with only a few options, so it may be better to use those slots to speed up the deck rather than have the ultimate end-game.
I haven't quite bought this version of the deck yet, but planning on trading/buying for the cards this week. Again, I appreciate the quick response and for all the help!
I hope you have a wonderful day, and week!
