Wooooow Guiltfeeder works really nicely with mill, but I'd LOVE to put it in my modern deck (if only it were legal!) because in this one I tend to exile more than put in the graveyard...

Also, I'm still trying to keep the coasts as low as possible so even though it looks AMAZING I'll have to wait for a while before getting my hands on Ensnaring bridge...

Also, thanks so much for the comments! I'm trying to get back into magic and I love the old sets (I played until onslaught), and all your tips really mean a lot.

Right, I understand the problem caused by Gaea's blessing (I had no idea that card existed thanks!!!!). But even if that makes my normal milling fail (through traumatize), I still heavily rely on Raven Guild Master and Scalpelexis, which exiles cards instead of milling them.
So I'll need to change my sideboard and make them hexproof instead?

Hey man, thanks for the input, I followed your advice, I got rid of plumeveil and added some milling creatures, do you think it's better now?

Hey guys!

If you haven’t seen my last post, I’m trying to get back into Magic, but using cards or editions that I know (I lost touch when Mirrodin came out).
After some pathetic attempts of recreating a deck here and testing it in xmage, I finally got to a concept I really loved: Mill!
So if anyone saw my decks before (apart from the Elves deck, which I still think is okay-ish!), I really apologise for wasting your time with noob deck making.

But please, please take a look at this one, and if I missed anything, just tell me!!! I would be eternally grateful for any feedback!

Hi everyone,

I haven't played Magic in a very long time, and I have a bit of a weird goal: create a 'decent' deck only using cards that have been first printed before the 8th edition. It is absolutely stupid, I know, but I found the art and the style of the cards to be radically different following the 8th edition.

The thing is, I am a COMPLETE noob when it comes to deckbuilding! I have tried to build 4 decks that I think could work, but if I missed anything, or if you have any pointers, please help me! And if one is particularly good ( ;D) or bad, just be honest!  :)

Thanks so much.

Deck 1 - Blue Wizards - Focuses on keeping opponent's creatures out of the game and aims for a deck default/unblockable hits. https://deckstats.net/decks/120725/1273879-new-vintage-blue/en

Deck 2 - Green Elves - Focuses on a lot of small elves that can be boosted. https://deckstats.net/decks/120725/1259514-vintage-green/en

Deck 3 - White Soldiers - White weenies with an emphasis on vigilance and first strike https://deckstats.net/decks/120725/1260598-vintage-white-soldiers/en

Deck 4 - White Knights - Probably the worst and not entirely vintage - a lot of knights with different characteristics (banding, first strike, vigilance...) https://deckstats.net/decks/120725/1260384-white-knight-vintage-deck/en
