Cool deck. Are your playgroup letting you rule 0 the zirda companion? You'd need to have commanders who themselves have activated abilities otherwise.

Deck Comments / Re: A Recurring Nightmare // Lurrus EDH - Comments

Thanks for the kind words! However, there's more than just Reveillark and It That Betrays when it comes to winning the game!
For instance, draining people out with all the Blood Artist effects, going infinite with Sun Titan + Angelic Renewal / Animate Dead / Dance of the Dead + Altar of Dementia :)
In fact, the main combo i see working most effeciently in this deck is the Altar of Dementia / Angelic Renewal one, as these can both be recurred with Lurrus.

Deck Reviews / Fair/Fun Humans Tribal - Sigarda EDH
« on: July 12, 2019, 05:39:16 pm »
Any thoughts on important cuts or additions to this budgetish fun/fair Sigarda humans deck?
I've never built tribal before - any pointers on the amount of humans I should include would be great! Also any advice on additional winconditions I should think of adding?

EDIT: Deck aims to ramp into lots of humans that support each other and make them evasive.

Hey guys I'd really appreciate some feedback on my selvala list I've been putting together over the last couple of days! I built the deck using 8x8 theory and adjusted from there. The deck aims to get Selvala out and untap her to use her ability at least twice per turn. She then forms a value engine which hopefully enables me to churn out a tonne of elves and make a tonne of mana. There's a few manasinks and big finishers in here to dump this mana into.

Thank you!

Deck Reviews / Feather EDH Feedback Request!
« on: May 12, 2019, 02:17:34 pm »
A Feather deck I'm this close to putting together. Building with budget in mind. The expensive cards (or what I see as expensive anyway - eg the shock land, wrath, smothering tithe...) are ones I have in my box anyway. Feedback appreciated!

Win conditions:
1) Swing for lethal commander damage with Feather and combat tricks.
2) Generate a token army, pump them all with Zada/Mirrorwing, and swing out.
3) Straight-up burn everyone out.

Great advice, thanks!
Any ideas on what to cut for these additions?

Hey guys. With the help of a few youtube videos and EDHREC I've put together this list for a blink-themed Ephara list, check it out below!

The aim of the deck is to have creatures enter the battlefield during as many of my opponents' turns as possible, thus generating huge card advantage with Ephara's triggered ability. There's a sizeable control package built into the deck, and the win conditions revolve around combat damage:

Win conditions -
1) swing with creatures throughout the game to accumulate damage with beaters like Sun Titan and Aetherling. Sheer out-valuing.
2) generate a huge token army with Elspeth, Helios or Sacred Mesa and swing for lethal. Cathars' crusade comes in huge here I hope.
3) go infinite with Peregrine Drake + Eldrazi Displacer / Deadeye Navigator - either feed this mana into a token generator (see above) or bounce everyone's board at instant speed with Capsize again and again and again

I'd really appreciate any feedback, specifically on:
(1) the ratio of cards fulfilling each role.
(2) My mana curve. It feels to me like my average mana cost might be a bit too high at 3.80. Any advice on reducing this a little?
(3) Does this deck look fun?! It seems like it to me but am I gonna get bored and stuck and run out of things to do or?
(4) Could this deck win games? Aimed at a (I guess?) 60%ish meta featuring Lavinia, Reaper King, Lazav, Goreclaw, Slimefoot, Estrid, Trostani, Teysa...

A note on budget: this is important. Pretty much all the expensive cards in this deck (fetchland etc) I already have kicking about. I'm not looking to sink hundreds of dollars into this deck.

And a note on fun: this is even more important. I don't want this to become a lock-down deck, nor do I want it to rely purely on infinite combos. I want it to be fun to pilot and fun to play against.

Thanks in advance, any advice is very appreciated!

Thanks again all. I think the current list will likely be the final iteration :)

Ace, thank you. I can't really make room in my budget for the lands or most of the includes, but tbh I do quite like Mask of Memory as a replacement for Notion Rain. Rogue's Gloves is nice too but is strictly worse than Mask of Riddles in this deck and I think I prefer Mask of Memory overall as it means I get to see more cards and filter when I need something specific.

I'll deffo consider split decision, as Will of the Council always goes down well in our group.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion about Brass Squire. The initial 3 mana investment may just end up setting me back a turn anyway!

Sweet, thanks! Most of these cards are a bit pricey for my budget but I'll see what I can do.

Quick Q - I've seen this card "Brass Squire" - do you think it's worth including in this list or not really? I've tried to keep equip costs fairly low anyways

Hey again guys - I've made a few changes and would appreciate some f/b on what may end up being the final list.

Its still half-way between voltron and tribal as this is the sort of vibe that would go down well with my playgroup. I've changed most of the equipment and added a couple more pieces, streamlined my manabase including manarocks, tweaked the removal package slightly and made room for a whispersilk cloak also.

I'm aware that more equipment is normally advisable in a pure voltron build but this is not that, and also there are 2-3 lords and an anthem effect built into the tribal package in the deck, and all of these effects pump Wydwen also.

I want this deck to be fun, and to have lots of replayability. Any final thoughts? Thanks again.

Hope of Ghirapur looks absolutely hilarious  :D :D :D

Thanks again crimsonking, I've cut Lim Dul's Vault now. I only really included it because I have a copy kicking around in my Jeleva deck - but you're right it probably isn't worth an include here.

great feedback again, thanks! I'll definitely have a look through these equipments and make some changes.

Crimsonking, unfortunately Riptide Lab is likely out of budget for me, though I'll definitely consider it in the future as a possible upgrade!

I'm trying to stay away from a combo-ey style of deck, as infinite loops etc don't sit too well with my playgroup (and I don't find them terribly fun either tbh), so I'll veer away from including Ashnod's as well as Sage of Fables, but the SoF does look v interesting! Do you have any idea of what could/should be cut for it?

Thanks for the feedback!

I prefer Wydwen to Oona for a couple of reasons. First is the manacost which, combined with Wydwen's bounce ability, could have a huge effect on my ability to recast as the game goes on. Wydwen's activated ability means I will almost never be paying more then 2UB to cast her, whereas a couple of removal spells leaves me having to pay 10 mana for Oona. Secondly, being able to flash in Wydwen on the end step is pretty snazzy and a big source of appeal to me.

In terms of auras/equips: I am not running any auras because I'll likely be bouncing Wydwen to my hand a couple of times. But in terms of equipment, how much more equipment do you think I need? Any specific recommendations? Any cuts you would make to squeeze these in?

I think your comments regarding my landbase are fair, and I'll likely be making the changes you have recommended there.

Thanks again!

Deck Reviews / EDH Wydwen Faeries Tribal / Voltron

Hey all! could do with some help editing my list for a fun-focussed Wydwen hybrid deck that sits halfway between a Fae tribal build and straight up voltron beatdown. My meta is pretty casual so the list does not need to be uber competitive, and I want to keep the deck as fun-focussed as possible. Budget is also a consideration, so no swords please :D

This is the first deck I've tried to build from scratch so any feedback and assistance would be v appreciated!

Specific questions:
Am I running enough equipment?
Is there other equipment I should be running instead? What about things like Loxodon Warhammer?
Is it worth running distant melody over some other draw spell?
Are any of the specific faerie inclusions actually a bit superfluous? For example, should I switch one or two out for more equipment or answers to threats?

Cheers guys x
