I had been thinking a lot about that, but the question I ask to myself is: What would happen if the opponent has no cards in his/her hand and I have 1 or 2 Hymn To Tourach in mine, and the only answer I can find is: I´m fucked, because these aren't the cards I need at this moment, too many Hymns To Tourach, it´s a sorcery so I can´t play it during the opponent's turn, and it´s too expensive casting it to make the opponent discard only one single card... Also I was thinking of changing Inquisition of Kozilek for Cabal Therapy, but in order to use the Cabal Therapy I would need to know what cards the opponent has in his/her hand, and then Hymn To Tourach will not be the best card for that because it doesn´t allow me to see the opponent's hand... So I would have to change Hymn To Tourach for Cabal Therapy instead, leaving Inquisition of Kozilek in the deck...
On the other hand I think Nightveil Specter and Surgical Extraction are not the best cards for this deck, and I was thinking about removing them from the deck it in order to use other combos/synergies that could work much better:
- Chains of Mephistopheles + Master of the Feast -> The problem of this combo is that the Chains of Mephistopheles are too expensive for me to buy and I want an affordable deck ^-^U. Also the Chains of Mephistopheles could be a double-edged sword because of the last ability of Waste Not...
- Liliana of the Veil + Bloodghast or Gravecrawler
- Demigod of Revenge + Buried Alive
- 2 or 4 Liliana's Caress + 2 Quest for the Nihil Stone instead of 4 Quest for the Nihil Stone
- Nezumi Shortfang or Abyssal Nocturnus
There are too many possibilities and only 60 cards to build a good deck XD. It would be much easier creating this deck for Modern (and many others) if Wizards unbans Deathrite Shaman, I still hope they will do that someday...
