These are great suggestions! I really appreciate it. I've actually replaced the Kalonian Tusker through the whole deck with Garruk's Companion. Personally, in this case, I think the trample is more handy than the hexproof; part of that is just because the friends I play with don't run as much removal as a lot of others do. Steel Leaf Champion is a FANTASTIC suggestion, and I will make sure to keep my eye out for that card, I'm glad you brought it to my attention!

I know it's expensive compared to the rest of the cards in your deck, but I think Sage's Reverie is a really excellent fit in both theme and function. Have you considered it?

It's really unfortunate that there aren't any modern instants or sorcery cards that work well with Pestilent Spirit. I'd look into getting your hands on a Blood artist or maybe a Deathgreeter for this deck, they are cheap in CMC and cash.

I have a relatively similar deck. I use Necromancer's Stockpile in it to get the graveyard packed with zombies, I think that would work extremely well in this deck, have you considered it?
