2/21/2025 - Swiss Tribal Championship (2-1)
R1 - Vs. Mitch RU Pirates  0 - 2 LABLED*
R2 - Vs. Bye
R3 - Vs. DeckSmith RU Wizards 2 - 0
R4 - Vs. Faded BU Faerie  2-0

Notes from the event, this event the goblins tripped into a title. Losing in round one to mitch hurt he was on his net deck pirate brew and that mattered as the results of the event came in. Then a r2 bye into a r3 mu vs DeckSmith a formidable player on a new deck that he was not savvy with. I then advanced to the finals to play Faded who upset mitch. In the finals i beat Faded. This result had a 4 way tie for first place between Mitch, myself, Faded, and Slump with the four of us tied with a record of 3-1. Tie breakers had mitch win the event with me second, faded third and slump 4th. Mitch was playing a netdeck and because of that he was not awarded the title during the tie breakers and the champion of the night was decided by the match played by Capt Forest and faded in the finals.

1/24/25: Swiss Championship Set Restricted (4-0)
R1 - Vs. Plunder Mono black ONE  2-1
R2 - Vs. Slump GWB ONE toxic 2-0
R3 - Vs. DeckSmith BW WOE 2 - 1
R4 - Vs. BIG C BR Brother was Mishra 2-0

Notes from the event, I knew going into this event that playing Plunder would be my hardest mu. I was honestly hoping to dodge this match up all together but i got paired vs him in the first round. Game one i played to win swinging hard into Obliterator losing most of my lands but setting myself up to win the next turn. It was not to be Plunder had anoint with affliction in hand and i lost. My side deck was full of 4x disdainful stoke and 3x raven form. I loaded the deck up and played a very control heavy grindy game perpetually ready to do battle with Obliterator. In both games 2 and 3 my 7 side deck cards came to play and i was able to take the mu 2-1 as expected it was very challenging. In r2 i had the third set vs slump and his ONE toxic brews i won easily 2-0 and he cursed my Aegar deck after the match. R3 i played vs Decksmith who was on a roll winning 5 titles in a row with is WOE deck. he told me he was going to in ten in a row and i took that personally. I have never lost this mu and while his deck is a proven champion it was no match Aegar, King Of Kaldheim. He played well in the bad mu forcing a game 3 where I took the game over and won. Bringing the record between the two great deck to 4-0 Aegar. In the finals i surprisingly got paired with BIG C a novice player using my Mishras minions deck who upset mitch in the semi finals. BIG C did not have the experience to play vs me and i blew him out in the finals taking advantage of several of his rookie mistakes. This deck is still one of if not the best set restricted deck in the format. Felt good to play it again after about 10 months. The deck is on a 12 set win streak

12/27/24 Set Restricted 2nd place (2-1)
R1 - Vs.  Faded Obscura 2-1
R2 - Vs.  Slump Gw Outlaws beatdown 2-0
R3 - Vs.  DeckSmith BW WOE 0-2
R4 - Vs.  Beau Forfeit

Notes from the event, forfeit in round 4 went 2-1 on the night losing for a second time to the BW enchantment WOE deck played by my brother in r3. I had no chance against that deck. Beat Slump with stoke out of the side deck counting his plotted creatures and using my tools for control such as witness protection and depopulate to keep the game under control till i could win. The deck is still a good over the top control build but just has not been able to get over the hump in singles open.

Looks fun drop Glissa, Herald of Predation and get Champion of the perished in there. I also think if you want to get some more green zombies you might enjoy the green black bear zombie or some other niche greeen zombie. I dont think for 5 mana Glissa, Herald of Predation
 does enough in your build.

maybe i am wrong and you should try it out. Over time it will generate value that could take the game over. I like this bear lol Grizzly Ghoul

very interesting maybe board too

for lands take a look at secluded courtyard / cavern of souls

you might want to consider a 50/50 split for your lands in terms of Islands to swamps.

12/20/24 - Swiss Tribal Championship (3-0)
R1 - Vs. Bambev GW Rabbits 2 - 0
R2 - Vs. Slump Mono White Angels 2 - 1
R3 - Vs. Mitch GR Dinos 2 - 1

Notes from the event, 3* 6 man. I played relatively perfect on the night. Round one vs bam was quick i spent more time shuffling my deck then playing i blew him out game one and in g2 i landed a t4 mythos of vadroc taking a 3 for 1 with it and he scooped. r2 i was not really expecting slump to be on Angels so i only had one copy of roiling vortex in my side board. I did not needed it to win. I was able to use scorching shot and cacophony scamp to keep his bigger angels that come out on t3 and t4 off the board on curve and scamp was used to take out giada. I beat him in 3 games building a board and going wide for both wins. In the finals vs Mitch i took game one with easy goblin aggro leveraging breeches and reckless lacky to keep his 6/6 from blocking. I lost a completely winnable g2 on a 6 card hand with one land where i got my second land quickly but did not see my third land till much too late and i was over run by Dinos. In g3 mitch was stuck on 3 lands and i was able to stick an embercleave and beat him down in two turns.

12/6/24 - Round Robin Jackson Championship (4 - 0)
R1 - Vs. Plunder BR Outlaws 2 - 0
R2 - Vs. King Fro BR spell slinger control 2 - 0
R3 - Vs. Holyman mono red Dwarves 2 - 0
R4 - Vs. Faded RU Hinata Opus RU control 2 - 0

Notes from event, goblins completed an epic 4 - 0 (8-0) round robin event on the night. Plunder was the toughest opponent he was aggressive to end g2 and i was able to sneak lethal over to win the close game. King Fro played a strange BR control deck based around a 6 drop enchantment called Arcane Bombardment he did not show up to the Jackson event last month and heard i won using goblins and told me "so you are saying if i would have went i would have won" completely disregarding the fact that the goblins won the last two events and have been undefeated since creation. When we played i remembered that and played the deck as fast and aggressive as i could winning both games with a quickness even for goblins. Both games in my match with King Fro were over within 6 turns, it was a complete annihilation of his deck that he figured would win the event easily. I used the dire flail and Goblin tomb raider combo to come out fast both games. Game 2 he added board wipes but i recovered once he passed turn and continued to beat him down with haste goblins and the flail he literally had no chance and did not even realize it. The goblins are very strong and the deck plays will using pirates to get value out of breeches.

11/1/24: Swiss Championship Jackson (3 - 0)
Winners R1 - Vs. Pugsley Silverquill 2 - 0
Winners R2 - Vs. Faded GR WOE 2 - 0
Winners R3 - Vs. DeckSmith BW WOE Enchantment beatdown 2 - 0

Notes from event, mono red Goblins are very good, deck is fast. Chainsaw was used mostly for removal, i only equip the chainsaw one time. The flail only saw play in one game i also did not see the goblin tomb raider often either. Breaches generated good value off the top of my deck on two occasions. The deck went undefeated on the night and i played relatively lights out making only bad choices in hind site. Playing goblins is a guilty pleasure of mine. Beating DeckSmith in the finals was a big win the deck he was on had not lost in months in fact beating me in the finals of the set restricted event two months ago. This was a nice redemption victory.

7/12/24: Swiss 2nd place (3-1)
R1 - Vs. Waddell (don't recall deck) 2 - 1
R2 - Vs. Mitch GW Life Gain 2 - 0
R3 - Vs. DeckSmith WU artifact bd 0 - 2
R4 - Vs. Ty GW Enchantments 2 - 1

Notes from event, I am writing this on 12/21. I do not recall the match vs Waddell. I got beat Mitch in 2 games i had Knight of Dusk's Shadow come in from the board and shut mitch down. Lost to Artifriends again getting 2-0ed. I feel like the deck should have a fine mu vs Artifriends due to cards like duress but i have been beaten twice getting 2-0ed each time by this deck. I dont recall the set with Ty.

11/15/24: Swiss Championship Tribal (3 - 0 - 1)
Winners R1 - Vs. Plunder BW Bats 2 - 1
Winners R2 - Vs. King Fro Mono G Elves  2 - 0
Winners R3 - Vs. Waddell BW Bats  1 - 1 - 1
Winners R4 - Vs. Slump BG Phyrexians 2 - 0

Notes from the event, this was a the biggest event in league history with 17 players. Both matches vs bats was very hard for this deck. in round one i went 3 games with Plunder and started the clock late in the set. This one likely would have went to turns if the clock was timed properly. In game 3 i survived 5 board wipes and was able to build back each time. Vince Carter (aka Disciplined Duelist
) was able to close the game out after a very long game that saw both players top decking searching for a way to win the game. Circle of confinment is uniquely positioned in this deck, i wanted a 2 drop enchantment style removal. I could not use ossification since i have no basic lands, Circle combos with Setessan Champion and i actually got the vampire punishing trigger off it when i hit Vito vs Plunder in round one and he then played it again, i thought that was a unique interaction. Round 2 in game one vs King Fro he was able to build a very formidable board with defiler of vigor and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider. Vince Carter was a 3/1 and kept Vorienclex at bay with King Fro not wanting to sent him over and trade only to take the shield counter. King Fro wanted one more turn to build up with Defiler of Vigor to get Vorienclex out of kill range for Vince Carter. That turn never came i took one big hit and then dropped a depopulate. Depop took the shiled counter and King Fro lost everything that he was building towards. Vince Carter was able to close out the game from there. In game 2 i got Vince Carter in play on curve while he was struggling with mana. I recognized this and hit a witness protection on his lanowar elf and proceeded to beat him down with Vince Carter easily taking the game and winning the set 2-0. Round 3 was the hardest match of the night and that is saying alot after my every hard r1 vs a similar build. In Game 1 of r3 vs waddells bats i battled long attempting to control the life gain of the bats. Over time i was able to ware him down and finally was able to land 2 consecutive hits for 10 damage each from Vince Carter closing out a long game 1. Game 2 was not short but i was beaten much more easily than i beat waddell in game 1. By the time game 2 was over there was less than 5 mins left on the clock for the round and the match was played to a time limit draw. I was 2-0 going into the time limit draw with Waddell so after round 3 my record was 2-0-1 and i was seeded into the finals to play Slump who was 3-0. In the Finals Slump was on BG Phyrexians a brutal deck filled with bombs in game one I was able to deal with on curve Phyrexian Obliterator with witness protection and won the race taking using Vince Carter to take his life down quick. Game 2 was much more challenging. I had 2 Vince carters on the board and was bearly enough to hold back the horde of Phyrexians. Slump had defiler of vigor on the field and only needed one more turn to get his more dangerous creatures out of kill range from Vince Carter. I only had one out before i would get overrun the next turn. I needed to top deck depopulate, AND IT WAS THERE! I draw depop and wipe his entire board with my Vince Carters only losing the shield counter. I got a draw off the top for having a multi color creature and it was copper coat vanguard. Slump did not draw another creature for the next two turns and i was able to close out the tournament winning in the finals 2-0, going 3-0-1 on the night. Prior to the event i tested the deck vs Plunders bats and learned that mu. I knew going into the event that it would be very hard to win that one. Based on the practice games i was playing i decided to cut both of the wandering emperors from the deck for an additional 2 depopulates. This mattered alot as depop was the reason i was able to win vs King Fro in r2 and i needed depop off the top in g2 vs slump if that card was the wandering emperor i would have lost. Winning this event is one of my crowning achievements as a player since it was the biggest event in league history all the glory to God.
