Deckstats Feedback / Can't edit decks and server errors
« on: February 13, 2024, 01:00:22 pm »
When I try to edit a deck this message pops up: "An error occurred. Please try again. If this keeps happening please report a bug in our forums."

Also the "like" button (the one with a star icon) it's stuck trying to load the number of likes, and the collection manager has popped up error messages while trying to save the changes.

I haven't had any persistent issues like these before but in recent weeks it has become impossible to use the web. This is my favourite deckbuilding site and that makes me quite sad. Are there any plans to fix these issues?

Hi! I'll give you some feedback:

-I would cut the white part of the deck. Travel Preparations and Gavony Township are great cards for the deck, but in an aggressive deck like this not being able to cast your spells on curve hurts a lot. I would stick to UG and have more duals of those colors, maybe the UG fastland fits in your budget.
-Simic Ascendancy is way too low impact for modern. I'm pretty sure you will never trigger the "win the game" clause, and if that's the case, I would swap it for another card, Vineshaper Mystic for example
-Did you consider Benthic Biomancer? Is on theme for counters and helps with card selection. Merfolk Skydiver seems more higher impact than other cards from your deck too.

I'm pretty sure Mishra's Factory is way better than Mobilized District. I guess Saffron's list is a bit outdated.

First of all, I see that you have a lot of 2-ofs. I recomend you to focus your deck more on the best insects you have in each point of your mana curve, it's one of the most important things in 60-card formats.

Also, in my opinion you are missing the single best (or second best) insect in the game: Scute Swarm.

I think it is also missing creature removal, in monogreen Bite Down, Master's Rebuke, or Ram Through could work,

If you are worried about removal you could use Shapers' Sanctuary. Blossoming Defense, Snakeskin Veil, Tamiyo's Safekeeping or Tyvar's Stand could be helpful too.

As far as scam decks go, this list is very sweet.

Lmao, that's very cool, I would love a full breakdown of which card references which pokemon/item.

On the other hand, I think you need more lands. Playing a lot of fetchlands doesn't help either, as you thin slightly your deck of lands, so I'm afraid you will fail your land drops consistenly.

Anyways, sweet idea! I thought about doing something similar but with the partner commanders (you know, those who fetch their partner when you play them), the look like trainer and pokemon!

I made a deck for a friend some time ago using Athreos as a commander, it has more of a "life tax" subtheme than yours, but you can check it out for inspiration: https://deckstats.net/decks/27018/1730516-athreos-blood-taxes-for-mam-os

(Sorry for the long maybeboard, my brewing process is... exhaustive lol)

But anyways, in my opinion, to make the best use out of Athreos the deck should make your opponents REALLY think if it is worth to let you return whatever creature you control that happens to die. For that purpose, a bunch of small deathtouch-esque creatures do a lot of work, also creatures with strong death triggers. I feel that your deck lacks this feature in particular, but your take on it may work great anyways, cause after all you probably will return your "innocent" creatures more.

It would be awesome to be able to group by collection status when using the "Decklist" deck tool.

Everytime I want to put into a cardmarket buylist the cards I'm missing from my collection I have to copy the text from the "Missing Cards" feature and delete a bunch of junk that the store site does not understand, so being able to group by collection status and generate a list of [quantity] [cardname] elements would be a great improvement for users like me.

Did you consider Yotian Dissident? Seems like a natural fit for the deck

Thank you for the suggestions I do have a quick question about how rakdos Lord of riots works. Doesn't his damage reduction only count for damage on this turn? So shouldn't it only discount for my first and second main phase?

For instance if they get damaged on their turn I don't think I get any discount

The ability "Creature spells you cast cost {1} less to cast for each 1 life your opponents have lost this turn." does not care about damage, just life lost. So, if your opponents lose life (via damage, "lose life" effects and such) during any turn, you will have the correspondent cost reduction (during that turn), independently of the phase you are currently.

For example, having 3 opponents, when the trigger from Creeping Bloodsucker resolves during your upkeep, your creatures will cost 3 less mana to cast during all the phases of your turn.

Isn't Elvish Archdruid better than Circle of Dreams Druid in this deck?

Also, 4x Fierce Empath seems like an overkill with only 1x Craterhoof Behemoth, after the first one the rest are complete bricks. I would change them for a more flexible tutor: Chord of Calling, Fauna Shaman, Finale of Devastation, Shared Summons...

Why Serum Visions over Ponder? Also, I would diversify the fetchlands, don't want to get got by Pithing Needle

I mean, if an opponent lets Kaho's ETB ability resolve, you grab the 3 instants and then the opponent kills it, the odds of doing anything the rest of the match (let alone winning) are abysmal.
