Wow these control cards are awesome. I should play this style more. Other than desecration demon (I have this card), what other creatures are good, one mana death touch rats maybe?

These are good ideas folks. The more end game options the better. So thinking this could become U/B maybe control deck. That's a new concept to me. I don't often stray from black, or anything vampire like.

General Magic / Idea for a tree of perdition deck
« on: August 16, 2016, 01:49:54 pm »
I've been looking for decks using Tree of Perdition and Triskaidekaphobia. And struggling to find anything I like the look of.
That combo is a long shot and shouldn't be solely relied upon. So I was thinking maybe using Tragic Slip. So +1+1 the tree making 14/14.
Tragic slip -13/-13 on the tree.
Then swap it's toughness for your opponents life total.
They get left on 1 life and you use an instant to target the player.
I was thinking this deck could run as B/R for burn spells to finish of your opponent.
Does this seem a viable deck idea to build around.

Nah that's probably my fault for putting it in the middle of the lands. But yes ill definitely drop that then to speed the deck up. I did want low mana cost cards for fast play originally anyway.

Ok I'm feeling these changes. I'm not too keen on madness so I will drop lightning bolt in.
I'm happy to drop Olivia. Only reason she was added was for flying really.
Is necropolis regent still a valid card to play given its high mana cost. It was mainly for late game if it got that far.

Thank you for your input. Haste has good value I'll work that in.  I like the gatekeeper, I'll have to work that in somewhere. I was hoping sanguinary Mage would hold more value because of the rush of adrenaline/weapon surge/and or uncaged fury. I should run something like feast of blood for removal but I couldn't bring myself to get rid of anything else.

Please take a look at this deck and tell me your thoughts and opinions.
The theme was to hit big and hard even from a 1/1 vampire.
Only ever built a few decks. I'm still a casual home player.
So I might have missed some better cards that would benifit this.
