The lack of Snapcasters is criminal and the inclusion of Swifty makes no sense. Also, why would you run Ancestral Vision over Opt, since you can't reliably count on them? You're a reactive deck looking to abuse the Wizard tribal spells and graveyard. Not a bad start, but this list really needs to be hammered out. Still, good work and I'm a big fan of Stormchaser. There might be a place in a wizards/spell list for Bedlam Reveler, but that might take some different building considerations.

I've been testing a similar list, to good results. So I'd say there's something to Wizards moving forward. I'm linking my list, for any of you that are interested.

Groundbreaker was originally added for pure spice, but has proven to be a really good hay-maker. Cascading into it feels incredible and it's completely unexpected so opponents don't tend to plan for it. I need to update this list, but I've cut the Chandra and Primal Command, and replaced them with a 4th Groundbreaker and 4th Atarka's Command. Been a really fun list.

Not enough creatures. Not removal. I don't see how this can win through any sweepers or moderate removal. I'm not opposed to the idea, but this needs less auras/equipment and more creatures and removal/denial. How Storm Fleet Sprinter is not in this list, I'm not sure.

Go check out competitive Grixis control lists for some ideas. Your current iteration is indeed all over the place. Grixis control utilizes the graveyard to out grind their opp. Such as Snapcaster Mage and Kolaghan's Command. Not to mention the lack of delve threats and the lack of Cryptic Command. I mean no offense by my critique. Just do some research on deck building fundamentals and practice brewing. Hang in there and don't let anyone get you down about your jank brew. You'll only get better as you practice.

I mean absolutely no disrespect, but this looks really bad. Why not just spice up a legitimate UG Infect list? No Blossoming Defense, no Vines of Vastwood and no Inkmoth Nexus? Those are staples of Infect.

As a longtime Burn player(~20 years), I completely agree that Eidolon is probably the most optimal card choice. However, I've been increasingly disappointed in matchups where it prevents me from playing(ie. Affinity/mirror). There's been a large resurgence in Affinity in my regional meta, and getting down a turn 2/3 Eidolon isn't great when they have most of their hand on the board and are in topdeck mode with life-gaining critters. Eidolon is still a beast against combo, which is the downside of cutting him. However, my testing of Harsh Mentor lately has been great. It's amazing how many shocks get through when he's out, and the fact that it's one-sided is awesome. I've been getting 4-6 damage from him pretty consistently. Lots of fetchlands out there, plus he wrecks Affinity real hard, unless they're lucky enough to pull a blast. Hazoret is still in testing, but her angles of attack do have relevance. The discard to shock is not to be underestimated. Thanks for the input!

The Raid effects you have in this deck don't synergize well with so few creatures. Ruin Raider would be a great improvement, as well as some fatal pushes/doomfalls. You don't have enough to pressure opponents with pure discard and 4 finishers +6 1/2's.

Thanks! I've really been enjoying it, and it seems fairly competitive. Though there are a few slight tweaks I'll be making. I've been playtesting Star of Extinction as a way around annoying lands + critters and PW's, and it's been great. Also, I've made the following changes: -TukTuk Scrapper -Manic Vandal +Chandra, Flamecaller +By Force

So far these few changes have made a big difference. Feel free to take it for a spin on cockatrice/Untap/where ever and let me know what you think. I'm always open for suggestions!

I like the idea. However, I think the manabase could be tighter. I also feel that you don't really have the creature density to include Atarka's as a 4 of. It's a great card, but I'd rather have a Mardu build. The sb options are way better in white, and the power of Boros Charm can't be denied. Nice spin on the archetype.

As a Burn player, I can certainly appreciate the trick. However, it's far too susceptible to removal and it's more of a do-nothing trick, albeit a cute one. If I'm trying to burn face, drawing a 5 drop artifact that doesn't do anything unless I'm losing seems to run counter to that of Burn's game plan. If you really want to run Madcap, you might try a 1-of Darksteel Colossus, and only a couple Madcap's. Even then, that's sub-optimal. If you're looking to stabilize on health, white has plenty of options. If you're looking to refill your hand, I've been testing Dangerous Wager as a 2-of and have been extremely happy with it. It's nice to see experimentation with Burn.

Okay, I look forward to seeing this beat all the "ramp" decks and top 8 a GP.

Not playing cards because lots of other decks run them isn't a great strategy. Don't you think that all these people might just be onto something? Your current build is perfectly fine for casual play, but I'm making suggestions to up the competitiveness of the deck.

Also, I suggested Hellspark Elemental as a budget addition, and it's undeniably better than spark elemental. Would you rather swing for a potential 24 damage or 12 with the same 4 cards?

You have far too few creatures and far too many irrelevant pump spells. You might want to consider Gitaxian probe, mutagenic growth, apostle's blessing, Goblin Guide, or even Hellspark Elemental. It just seems like a lot of suboptimal cards, but maybe this is a budget conscious decision. The current iteration is so weak to removal. A single Path or Terminate would likely wreck you.

This is laughably bad. Maybe not bad, but definitely too cute and misguided. How does this have so many likes when it would get destroyed by tier 3 modern decks? Also, not modern legal. I'd love playing against this with my Lantern or Burn. No chance.

As a huge fan of mill decks, and a fool who refuses to quit trying to make this archetype work, I have to say that the linear approach seems to be the way to go. Think of what makes Burn work. If you can keep your average CMC around 2/2.5, it makes the process much easier. I've tried hybrid decks with Tarmogoyf and Jace's Phantasm, and quickly realized that hybrid mill decks just don't work. You either aggressively mill the fuck out of your opponent, or you lose. Mill is too slow if you're running 4 and 5 drops. I've built numerous mill decks and my current is the most resilient and competitive. https://deckstats.net/decks/37081/566794-miladelphia    But this is my most linear and has the fastest milling https://deckstats.net/decks/37081/564343-mill-burn/en

Whichever direction you head, good luck and keep milling the fuck out of everyone!
