Sure thing. Just updated it with some cards up to MH2 even :) Note that this is not really a synergy driven deck, but will usually be kind of ok in the 5-7 range of decks I would say

Lingering Souls cannot be played in a mono white oathbreaker deck. If you have access I strongly suggest Karakas

Deck has some severe Updates now. Most planeswalkers are gone as is the enchantment based card draw. You could argue that the Immortal Sun is akin to Arena, but it does so much more.

hi, glad you liked it. Yes I had put the brakes in a bit because of Yahenni. But I will be updating this deck this week most likely :)

In regards to the Swiftfoot boots question, the previous version had some cards which target, f.i. Marath and would not work with greaves.

Hi Guys,

thanks for your comments. Please note that I have taken this deck directly from some Starcitygames video just as a building basis. But I may strongly deviate form that. I do agree that the curve is horrid. I am not entirely sure where I will move with this, I've seen some versions concentrating on planeswalkers, some on gods+enchantments...I do not think I will go a combo route with this but put some limitation on deck design. Should finish it today, so you can check back later.

Cheers,

xcver

General Magic / Re: Is anyone actually excited
« on: June 06, 2016, 05:08:08 pm »
I am excited and booked a package for 1 EMA sealed and draft at GP Prague :)

I am not convinced that modern and legacy are as expensive as people make them out to be. Sure the initial investment is high. But maintenance is fairly low. Whereas for Standard you always have to acquire the new goods and to be honest most ppl are not able to transition without losing money (or they are lying to themselves). Standard right now is fairly cheap as compared to last season with the top decks about 400-500 USD on mtggoldfish. There are good modern decks to be had for under 1000 USD (such as Merfolg, Tron, Scapeshift or Affinity). The expensive decks are basically the ones playing Tarmogoyf or expensive manabases. For legacy a lot of tier1 decks are available from 1300-2000 USD such as Death & Taxes, Eldrazi, Elves and Reanimator. The real expensive ones are the 3-4 color delver decks. But keep in mind, once you have acquired the fetches, duals etc. and also most of the other expensive cards that they will retain value (especially if on the reserved list).  I basically converted everything to eternal formats nowadays and do not play standard anymore unless forced to (and given a deck). And if I need to buy newer cards they usually are not that expensive and even if so will retain value if played in modern/legacy (vintage can be discounted for that).

General Magic / Re: Cards that epitomize each color

As Garfield intended:

Red - Lightning Bolt
Black - Dark Ritual
Blue - Ancestral Recall
Green - Giant Growth
White - Healing Salve

and as I see it

Red - Chaos Warp
Black - Sacrifice
Blue - Thirst for Knowledge
Green - Force of Nature
White - Balance

Hey,

some info on the shuffling the remaining draft pack things, so there are a few things why that is happening:

1. It is actually enforced by the rules somewhat indirectly. These state "Players are not permitted to reveal hidden information of any kind to other participants in the draft regarding their own picks or what they want others to pick.". You could for instance order the cards so that whomever gets your pack next could read a signal (for instance put the color he should not draft last in the pack). Especially troublesome if you are passing to a teammate or even friend at casual. At Competitive and Professional REL drafts this is interpreted in a way that you always should shuffle and count when you pass the cards. When drafting in a store I would suggest it at well because 2 friends might be collaborating :)
2. People will emulate what they see from pros.
3. If you played a few times with enforced shuffling you will do it out of habit to not forget next time.
4. Print runs caused specific commons to be in a set pattern. If a player memorized the patterns he had a chance to know which actual card was taken if it was a common. However this issue has been resolved 2 years ago with how the packs are seeded now (but I may be mistaken)

Cheers

This deck is User in my Paper pauper playgroup and the Metall does not really require duress. Of Course for mtgo or others it might Make sense to add 2.

I would rather play Ashiok maindeck than Jace Living Guildpact. I don't get what you are doing with Jace as you have no way of actually using your graveyard currently and Sultai Ascendancy seems better at manipulating your draws there.

While I think Citadel+Nissa is cute it might put too much strain on the manabase. Also you have terrible expensive stuff to play and only Caryatid to ramp. I would like 4 Course of Kruphix (they don't ramp but help hit the lands) over the 3 Omenspeaker and a Dissolve and a Negate.

It is a standard deck, so it would be helpful to suggest Standard cards for it.
