Glad to hear you enjoy it, yeah cave of temptation definitely seems good, maybe cut an ash barrens or 2 for it.

which makes sense since when I first played with the deck I'd be cutting journeys for sunlance and aerial volley from the board anyway, might as well just run 2 in the main.

ah yeah, while I liked deftblade, I found that it was being boarded out a lot; except against aggro decks, but our mu is usually favourable against them anyway. I realized that deck is so good at racing/clogging up the ground that journey isn't all that necessary. I mean gangler is fairly easy to deal with without it; the only thing we're really worried about are fliers, and also combo decks, but strands from the board deals with combo better than journey usually. So, I added 2 aerial volley to the board. 2 volley, 2 sunlance and 1 holy light means that we can board into more efficient removal than journey if necessary.

Yeah, but it's still probably the best answer to RW midrange we have access to. Given that RW has decreased in popularity while tron has maintained it's place at #1, I think I'll go back to using freighter in it's place.
I've tinkered with all the cards in the Pr0b list before. After piloting his list I've made some changes. I don't like vines in the deck, I've tried it before and it's still too hard to hold up green most of the time, although, bluffing vines has won me some games, and it would be nice just to have it in there.
Guardian is a good answer for RW, but it still has the same issues that I experienced before with it, I may find room in the board for 1 or 2 since it's also good against most control decks. I'll update the list as soon as I figure out the board. I've got the main down I think, there'll be 2 Freighter and 3 deftblade in there, kinda going back to one of my earlier builds, but being able to go down on journeys because of deftblade.

Yeah, unless you have no other way of pushing through dmg or if you have very good tempo play of bringing back a land and playing it to play something else with fisher; you want to hold it for greater value.

Thanks, keep in mind though that rancor does not work with guardian since rancor is green, guardian is more for the RW mu. Usually you get em low but they'll just strands, kill etc. With guardian keeping the monarchy becomes extremely difficult if not impossible.

Additionally, in certain matchups you can pivot into a h8 bears post board.
Also have you seen how Pr0boszcz has changed the list? I'm not quite on board with only 3 prep and 3 elite, but he added a lot of the cards that I had in various builds and used to great effect, and cutting 1 prep and 1 elite may be the cost of running them. It does sacrifice the izzet blitz and tribe mu a fair bit, and those are pretty much even mus, favourable even against bad pilots.

While it's true that we don't have the card draw in the late game, we do have synergy that can equal greater card advantage than draw. Typically both you and your opponent will be low on gas at that point since most if the cards in our deck are recurrent, most opps deck that want to go late rely on card draw. Basically the late game is a grind, which is why you need to make the most efficient plays from t1 onwards so that those blank draws don't hurt so much in the late game. You should pan for the late game t1 essentially, depending on the matchup of course.
Picture this typical situation, your opponent tops an edict to kill your elite after dealing with the rest of your creatures. Your left with a 1/1 elite, but you still have a travel prep in the grave, you draw a trow and drop it. They then top a mull drifter drawing disfigure and edict, they disfigure your elite and edict your trow. At this point it's worth keeping in mind that they used two kill spells and 3 mana to kill your elite. You untap and draw fisher resetting trow. You know have card advantage since even if they flasback edict you can reset with prep, but the opp has another draw step to regain it, and so on, however, you've been chipping away every turn so this back and forth is in your favour.

Thanks, I've thought long about that, I'm worried because of electrickery could wipe a squire and hawk hand, but it would be faster. I think you could run 3 and 3 if you work in the 3 flex slots that I'm currently filling with inspector. And travel prep does help against electrickery, but hawk doesn't block faeries. Try out the hawk and see what you think.

Looks sweet, I'd recommend Reckless Bushwacker over Goblin Cheiftain though, Just because of the synergy with Memnite and Ornithopter and because chieftain doesn't pump your artifact critters.

well yeah it's an established deck. Typically you'll only see minor tweaks with these decks. I've played against affinity decks like this one many times. I'm sure someone could post exact copy to yours as well. What makes this special is all the time this person put in to label all the individual cards. Personally I'd also like to see the meta reasoning for some of the choices since I've found traditional affinity to win more.

Thunderous wrath works very well with brainstorm, I also think magma jet and tandem lookout might have a place. Your curve is pretty low too, 21 lands might be right, card draw spells help to hit land drops.
