General Magic / Your Pro Tour Predictions?
« on: July 26, 2017, 11:37:55 pm »
Hey everyone, I was wondering what everyone's predictions are for tomorrow's Pro Tour.

My predictions:

• Most of the top 8 will consist of WU monument, and Control decks.

WU Monument has seen a lot of success in recent tournaments. With the deck containing tough to deal with creatures and a very aggressive setup, expect this deck to be a top contender at tomorrow's Pro Tour.

Also, with control getting some upgrades coming in the form of Abrade, Supreme will, and Hour of Devastation, this deck has also seen some good results and has risen to the top of the metagame. (Details can be found on MTGGoldfish's metagame tracker)

• Decks like zombies will see little to no play. If the deck is going to be played at the Pro Tour this year the deck will struggle to pick up wins.

Since the release of HOU, it appears that zombies have started to head back to their graves to rest for a while. Decks like WU Monument, and Mardu Vehicles, have been a struggle lately for Zombies to deal with, due to the large number of flyers and artifacts.

For my final prediction I predict...

•The top 8 will consist of no energy decks?!?!

This one is a tough one, Solemnity is now a huge problem for energy, so big that it can stop energy right in its track, but cards like Natural State can easily take care of this threat. So I'm just going to let things play out and say that energy decks better be running enchantment removal, or else energy decks will struggle to make the top 8.

So what do you think is going to happen? What decks are going to dominate this Pro Tour?  Do you agree, or disagree with my predictions?

I can't wait to hear your responses, and I would also like to take time to thank you for taking time to read this post.

Good luck on the battlefield everyone!

The Rise Of Fell Shepherd

This is a swamp, plains deck that feature cards like Fell Shepherd, Seraph of the Masses, Abyssal Persecutor, and more, this deck also has a two card instant win combo! Try figuring out which to cards make the combo.
