Thats my attempt in bringing the ETB Counter deck to a low budget.
Note, that the Sacred guide will guarantee you to draw the 'no ETB' card.

What is the purpose of Lay of the land? You could just put 4 more lands into that deck, which would be the same effect, except you don't have to pay mana for it. Or am I missing some mechanic involving the casting of spells, like Storm or something?

Cat equip (Low Budget)

Deck idea: Have a combination of cat-creatures with a lot of equipments, which give additional benefits to your creatures.
The deck has a lot of cheap equipments, which can be equipped to attacking creatures and then reequipped  in the following post combat main phase, for example, if you want to have more tokens from Kemba or if you want to boost potential blockers.

Deck idea: have a lot of aggressive spells and creatures, which burn the enemies health quite fast or giving big benefits (card draw/direct damage)

Wechselhafte Geister (Low Budget)

Deck idea is quite simple but efficient: Summon creatures which can be boosted with instants or sorceries and later on start a massive attack with highly boosted creatures, killing your opponent in one blow.
If your opponent is going to kill your creatures with damage, those boosts can save them, too.
If your opponent tries to destroy them on the final attack, you have some counter abilities.
If you aremissing cards, brainstorm is your tiny little helper to get startet.

I would bet, that you have to select target the moment, you activate the ability.

Nevertheless: thnaks for your quick reply.
I'm not a magic rules ultra expert, but I think the planeswalkers ability shouldn't be any other than that, so selecting the target of an ability the moment it resolves should be a bug.

Hi there! I stumbled across your part 3 command:
"Yawgmoth resolves. Since it is an “up to one” target, you choose after resolution*. Select the undying creature."
Then I checked Magic rulings, but couldn't find anything, that refers to choosing the target at the moment, the ability resolves.
All I found was, that targets are declared when the ability is activated.
What am I missing?

Nice idea!
Feat of resistance would be a pretty cool 'counter' spell if something is going to kill your creatures.
The scrying of Stand firm is a nice addon, too.
But what would you remove for them?

Wizard Bounce

Control the game from the beginning with a lot of spells that are capable of returning a land to the opponents hand and cripple him from playing anything useful. Have some wizards with other powers to fully cripple opponents gameplay.
Later on, deal lethal damage with huge academy elites.

Create lots of Saproling Tokens and improve their attack and defense to overwhelm your opponent.
Very cheap cardlist.
