While I agree that it is a great land in EDH, a staple even, with the amount of fetch mechanic I am running in this Korvold deck, it just doesn't make a whole lot of sense I don't think.

Nope! No Command Tower. Haha It was in the deck in the beginning, but there almost no cards that could fetch it up to the battlefield so it was removed. The deck needs to have as many fetchable lands as possible to function. As such, no check lands, command towers, or much of anything else that doesn't have a land type.
