Finally got the chance to playtest the current revision.

Game 1: 6 man - Hapatra vs Wort mother vs Animar vs Marchese vs Windgrace vs Jodah

This game was wild, we almost lost to animar going infinite but we stopped it. We were stuck at a stalemate with everyone at 32~35 life on turn 8 I drained everyone with soul snuffer and obelisk spider for 23 but I got killed with Jodah players insurrection. wort mother won the game by burning everyone down on their turn

Game 2: Planechase -  Nehab.E vs Hapatra vs Teysa.S vs Marchese

Hapatra did very well, second turn everyone placed a permanet and I dropped ivy lane denizen followed by hapatra. She snowballed a bit and almost killed someone for commander dmg. Game lasted about 1 hour and 30minutes and she won.

I should also say he is 30+ years old with 2 kids. My brother is 9 and is a better sport about losing in mtg (and a better player).

this was funny till I hit this part

I had it mainly because I tend to kill my own snakes through -1/-1 counters but playing the deck for a bit I think I don't really need it.

Ok, cool. I have a friend who would love to see this deck. He loves Hapatra. Your deck looks pretty nice, it's just all over the place in terms of individual card power level (Serrated Arrows vs. Contagion Engine). I just noticed when looking through it again that you have Craterhoof Behemoth. It's a very powerful card, just doesn't work with this deck too well. Is it intended as a finisher with your 1/1 Snake tokens? That's all I can think of.

I've honestly been debating to cut serrated arrows, my friend runs it also in his build. We might cut it for more removal or ways to spread more -1/-1 counters. Craterhoof is used as a finisher. I might find a spot for sadistic hypnotist, after I do some playtest.

Why Dictate of Erebos? You don't have a major Aristocratic theme. You have very few ways to capitalize on it (unless the creatures your opponents sacrifice have -1/-1 counters on them). Maybe I just don't understand how the deck works :P

- Forgotten Anicent
+ Ivy Lane Denizen

Forgotten ancient was a bit too slow compared to Ivy Lane Denizen and it allows me to manage -1/-1 counters easily

-Reclamation Sage
+Nullmage Shepard

Needed more enchantment and artifact hate that was reusable and repeatable and tutorable with green's sun

-Phyrexian arena
+Read the bones

Feels like it's underperforming

-Catacombs sifter
+Reaper of the wilds

I get to scry for every death and has a decent body, deathtouch, and potential to be a beater.

-Sting shot
+Krosan Grip

More permanent removal

-Rampant growth
+Farseek

Not sure what I should drop, was gonna use clan defiance but blood makes a much better burn/removal spell and should I add more blood rush?

Voyaging Satyr would be better replaced with Sylvan Caryatid. Same cost but has a bigger body, is hexproof, and taps for any color land.

Good point ill have to get some when they get cheaper or find someone willing to trade them away. I also updated the deck a bit but ill post the cards changes later.

Deck Reviews / Gruul aggro deck

Im still really green when it comes to deck-building since I have the habit of shoving cards I really like but are somewhat pointless to the deck. I was wondering if anyone would have any suggestions for my gruul aggro deck that I plan on making after I break down my current one and buy a few extra cards.

[deck="Gruul aggro( first deck build)"]
//Lands
8 Forest
3 Gruul Guildgate
8 Mountain

//Spells
2 Alpha Authority
3 Fog
3 Giant Growth
3 Gruul Charm
2 Gruul War Chant
4 Ordeal of Nylea
1 Xenagos, the Reveler

//Creatures
4 Burning-Tree Emissary
3 Centaur Battlemaster
2 Karametra's Acolyte
3 Leafcrown Dryad
2 Rubblehulk
2 Savageborn Hydra
2 Skarrg Guildmage
3 Staunch-Hearted Warrior
4 Voyaging Satyr

//Sideboard
SB: 1 Akroma's Memorial
SB: 3 Destructive Revelry
SB: 2 Warriors' Lesson
SB: 4 Savage Summoning
[/deck]

The Reason behind my card choice:

Burning-tree Emissary: I picked her up because she's basically a free spell and works well with ordeal of nylea

Leafcrown Dryad: I use because she's a nice 2/2 blocker with reach, wells with ordeal and I can use her bestow to put her on any of my already buffed creatures or trigger Centaur-battlemaster/staunch-hearted warriors ability. Even if that creature dies I get her back on my field as a creature.

Voyaging Satyr: Even though she takes 1 more mana than elvish mystics, she doesn't always die immediately like mystic elf and I can use her to untap a mountain or forest instead of just taping for 1 green

RubbleHulk: I love him mostly for his bloodrush ability when I have a lot of land on the battle field and I can use him as a creature if I need someone to block for me

Savageborn Hydra: Since ill have a lot of mana to use I decicded to add this guy in for the amazing amounts of damage he can dish out.

Skarrg Guildmage His 2 cost ability to give trample to all my creatures is pretty useful when my opponent has a lot of cannon fodder blockers

Staunch-Hearted Warrior and Centaur Battlemaster: Their trigger ability works well with many of the enchantments and instants that I run in this deck

Karametra's Acolyte: I find her really useful for mana ramp and she comes with the nice addition of being a decent blocker. A few friends suggested just swapping her out for a shrine of nyx but i'm on somewhat of a budget.

Alpha Authority: Added this in to protect my creatures from spells that would blow them up or bounce them back to my hand after getting them buffed up

Fog Damage prevention for just 1 mana

Giant Growth: one drop that gives my monster +3/+3

Gruul Charm: useful for popping flyers or getting dmg through

Gruul War Chant:I love this card  because it forces my opponents to use 2 creatures to block and when combined with alpha authority on a single creature they become unblockable

Ordeal of Nylea: I find this card useful because it doesn't only buff my creatures up when they attack but also gives me 2 extra land to add to my battlefield

Xenagos, the Reveler: In all honesty I picked him because 1. He looks cool, 2. he mana ramps, 3. poops 2/2 satyrs with haste, 4. I wanted to use him in a deck, 5. Domri rade decided to join the cool kids club and double in price

My sideboard:

Savage Summoning: To deal with counter decks

Destructive Revelry: To below up enchantments since theros is pretty enchantment heavy and I prefer it over naturalize because it deals a little bit of dmg

Akroma's Memorial: Because she's pretty and I love watching people make that angered look on their face when they run red or black

Maybe section: Most of these are cards that im thinking of adding to the main deck or sideboard.

2 or 1 Ruric Thar, the Unbowed
Arbor colossus
2 Bow of Nylea
1 Nylea, God of the Hunt
2 Reverent Hunter
2 Rubblebelt Raiders
2 Polis Crusher
2 Warriors' Lesson
2 Nemesis of Mortals

I hope I didnt' make things too confusing  :P
