In this deck you need your commander badly, worse than this, if at anytime you loose control of it, opponents can use all your machinery against you. For black is not easy to remove enchantments such treachery or control magic, so this land can be quite handy in many situations and it don’t really penalized you that much. Hope this answer helps!
P.S I will try to post my new version of this deck, less based on permanents and not focused on spells
