General Magic / Re: What was your worst misplay?

Nice thread!

Got a little story.

I played a PPTQ back in the days of kaladesh. I played grixis improvise, that was by far not tier 1 but sufficent competitive BEFORE it comes to hour of devastation. But I gave this a try again.

Cheating in The Scarab God in turn 2 or so was popular back then. I played on the draw and managed to set up metallic rebuke turn 1.

I was so nervous just forgot to cast it and (of course) lost.

It haunts me.

Never have I ever lost with selesnya enchantments (it is ridiculously powerful) nor selesnya token deck.

No upvote? So everybody always wins with selesnya? Tier 0 Deck! Awesome!  8)

"If you know of any morph cards that are good in EDH"

I got the Kadena, slinking sorcerer Commander Deck. So all of the morph cards are good with this. Got crazy amount of triggers and options while playing this deck.

I don't like playing selesnya that much, because of the lag of instant interaction (sure there are cards).
But:
Never have I ever lost with selesnya enchantments (it is ridiculously powerful) nor selesnya token deck.

(My versions of this type of decks I called: Harmonious Tokens and Calix' empty throne. If someone like to build an always winning deck
: ) : < Schrödingers Smiley)

Hi,

from time to time my interests change or the focus changed - so to say. Got some more hobbies than MTG.

Since last year I'm hard in LARP again. This takes some time.

Also I dug out my classic battletech boardgame. It has become a classic car this year.  ;D So I'm painting some mechs and playing some battles.
(In germany a car can be an oldtimer after 30 years.)

I also got some Pen and Paper groups.

And last but not least, my wife and child need some attention as well.

But today it will be FNM again!

I admit that I'm not the greatest discusser here, so maybe no one cares.

best

Äh, hier auf Deckstats?

Wo denn? Im Forum-Teil oder Deiner Sammlung, bzw. Deinen Decks?

Bei mir jdenfalls nicht.

Hallo,

ja.

Do I understand it correctly?

These cards shown above will be legal in eternal formats? It is the first time an un-set going legal outside from sealed? And I can get attractions in my legacy-deck?

If the awnsers are "YES" ... holy jank!

General Magic / Re: Cards you refuse to use

Hi, interesting thread.

In case of unholy heat i've to say: It is quite cheap to buy.

I got no problem with playing any cards BUT I know that my playgroup got a hard life to deal with certain cards and combos. So when I build a deck, that is too strong, there is no fun for all. So I don't do it.

I'm more at the janky side of life, so I barely use gamechanging cards anways for the reason written above.

I do not play Rules Lawyer, it seems to be op.  (Yes, it is possible in my playgroup!)  :P

Are the streetfighter cards actual printed? Wanna have and play!!!!

General Magic / Re: Competent Vs Jank

Hi,

nobody got an opinion on that?

If I build a deck in a specific format I would say most time I try to do competent magic. The jank comes automatically with the budget and the availability of cards.

When I'm playing with my playgroup I bang out the jank like there's no tomorrow!

The shadowmage infiltrator from odyssey is John Finkel.

"Artifact Blast, Burnout, Molten Influence, Pyroblast, Red Elemental Blast, Guttural Response. So, they're mostly anti-blue, but they've got a few."

I thought of these.

Hi

I'm not sure about this. Each Color got their peculiarity. In each color you can use the weapons you've given.
In blue you got no (true) removal at all, so you have to counter.
In white there are some counterspells. You can also use proactive spells like Gideon's Intervention.
In black you use discard like duress.
In red you got counterspells as well. Or you are that fast that you don't need counterspells. In my personal opinion, red is the weakest color. But always playing it, it gives me the lie.
In green you got a lot spells saving your threads like veil of summer or savage summoning and so on.

I really enjoy it that the colors got such different unique properties.

I do not play EDH. May there are some differences to constructed.

Like always this is just my personal opinion.

"Goblin Charbelcher is launching a Black Lotus."
There is also a ratchet bomb on the ground as well.

The Voltaic Servant has instead of a left hand a Voltaic Key from Urza's Saga.

Oh man I'm so bad at recognizing things like that ...

At all three named Mage-Ring-Cards is the Mage-Ring on it. (Surprise!) Mage-Ring Bully, Mage-Ring Network, Mage-Ring Responder
