Hey:)

it's simple: I'm poor.

Sheoldred is way over my budget at the moment.
Ghyrson sounds pretty good - thank you!

Appreciate the tip!

Ahh fair enough wasn't sure if budget is a thing in this decklist. Also Sheoldred, the apocalypse  wasn't that expensive at the beginning but yeah atm she is way overpriced in my opinion.

Yeah Ghyrson istn't as expensive as Sheoldred, the apocalypse and making 3 dmg instead of 1 per draw seems pretty nice to me :-)

Hey Mate,
why aren't you running stuff like :

Sheoldred, the Apocalypse and Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph?

Maybe I missed something but I couldn't find them mentioned anywhere

Hey Griffin,
thank you for the kind words.

I love your primer! What do you think of the new Vronos, Masked Inquisitor? His ultimate seems a little weak, but his +1 is decent protection, and his -2 is good removal that hits all opponents.

I've checked Vronos, Masked Inquisitor at release and tried to figure out how to use him in this deck, but I've decided that he is not worth since he is not doing anything special and is kinda expensive fo 5 mana. A new planeswalker means, that I have to cut another one for it and the 20 Planeswalkers i'm running right now are better imo. His +1 is only usefull if there are other planeswalkers on the table and a phase out effect for 5 mana is not very usefull. His -2 is kinda nice tho but also not really gamebreaking. His -7 can be very nice if you want to kill your enemies with combad dmg or at least have a huge blocker but if I'm able to use the last ability of a planeswalker I would prefer a planeswalker with a emblem or a game winning effect.

Hey, what's up! Did you see the new Teferi, Temporal Pilgrim ? Do you think it will have a place in the deck?
Greetings!!

Hey buddy, thank you for the information.

Yeah I saw the "new" teferi but I'm not sure if he will perform well in this deck. I'm also thinking of cutting elspeth for Wrenn and Realmbreaker or Teferi, Temporal Pilgrim  but not sure which one will perform better. So I have to check both and see if there are better than Elspeth or not

Hi!

Nice deck and thx for your work on the primer!

What about adding Captain Sisay?

Greetings!

Hey, thank you very much!

I already thought about Captain Sisay, but she is just a 4 mana tutor with summoning sickness and we have black so we can also just play Demonic tutor, Diabolic tutor, grim tutor. I don't think that I need her in this deck.

Hi! It's nice that you updated the primer. I was wondering why you didn't consideer putting the Kaya the inexorable in the deck since it's a good planeswalker to protect your atraxa, the emblem is similar to the one of Tamiyo, Field Researcher or even better than minus ability of Tamiyo, Collector of Tales and is still good to play with the exile.

Hi NeroWork,
thank you for this great idea. I was already thinking of replacing Vraska the Unseen with another planeswalker and Kaya the inexorable is a very solid option. Her Plus ability is a good protection for some of the creatures and for Atraxa as well. her -3 is just better than the -3 from Vraska and her Ult is pretty nice. She is also 5 cmc and enters the battlefield with 5 loyalty.
I think I will add Kaya and remove vraska from the list and update the Primer!

Thank you very much I have totally overlook Kaya.

The same question for Ajani, Sleeper Agent

One of the planeswalker that are in the deck that I feel is a good trade for one of those is the Ashiok, Dream Render , that, yes, is cheap, and it might be usefull, but is highly situacional to really have an impact on the game.
Thanks a lot!

Ajani, Sleeper Agent is not bad at all, but the -3 and the -6 are not very usable in this deck my opinion. Also his plus ability is a card advantage but thats it.

Poisen Counters are not worth to mention in this deck since we have no other source to provide poison counters and the amount of proliferate sources are also not many. His -3 is just a buff and also not very important in this deck.

Ashiok, Dream Render is extremly strong in high power meta since everyone is playing fetchlands like marsh flats and prismatic vista or ramp spells like three visits and nature's lore or just tutors like demonic tutor. And he is also the only source to exile the graveyards. His Mill ability is also a nice way to get rid of some key cards (with luck) but overall he wasn't situational for me at all since tutoring is very common in high power meta games.

Hi!
I really liked the way you built this, but I was wondering why did you remove Primevals' Glorious Rebirth even when on the "Single card discusion" section you seem to really count on this card particularly. Thanks for your time!

Hi NeroWork!!
thank you for this comment. The primer wasn't actual, so I've updadet my primer now. I was looking for a slot for Lae'zel, Vlaakith's Champion and after much deliberation I decided to cut Primevals' Glorious Rebirth since this spell is very situational.
The card has always served well, but unfortunately had to be cut as it does not help to win the game it will only give us a comeback.

Hi Jocavipi,
no offense but a primer is a hard work and if you using shapers primer, you should also give him some credits at least. I also saw that you made some changes but most of the deck seems to based on shapers deck, which is absolutely ok but adding a link into your description would be fair since you saved a lot of work regarding the primer and the deck.
So thanks for understanding and adding the link.

Hi  Jocavipi,
the primer seems to be a copy of https://www.moxfield.com/decks/ilvW7g3hsUio09K2gLuDmg/primer
I don't know why you want to copy a primer and sell it as your own primer.

I know that cedh decks with the same commander play 80-85% the same cards. But it's very weak to simply copy and paste a primer from someone else.

Then why run Atraxa as your commander, if proliferation isn't what you're looking to do? I'm sure there are other commanders that synergize with planeswalkers.

I do not fully understand the question. I said that other effects are better than proliferate but not that I don't need proliferate at all. That's why I also play Karn's bastion and Atraxa, because both of them are very good proliferate cards.

But the cards you mentioned are way weaker than the cards I listed in my answer.
For example: Contagion Engine cost 10 Mana for double proliferate in the same turn. Carth the lion costs 4 mana for a smiliar effect and is also a blocker and a card advantage and in combination with oath of teferi you can already ult some planeswalkers. This will cost you a total of 9 mana and is way better then the oldshool proliferate cards.

But I'm thinking to adding in some proliferate cards like Flux Channeler or Evolution sage since I'm trying to increase the amount of creatures in this deck to be able to block some attackers.

@KingKia Thanks for the response! Makes total sense

Sure you're welcome!

What about Contagion Clasp/Contagion Engine? Both are excellent proliferate options

Valid point!
Proliferate is a good way to increase counter, but in a planeswalker based deck I prefer effects like Carth the Lion, Oath of Teferi, The Chain Veil, Doubling Season, Brokers Ascendancy or Pir, Imaginative Rascal because they have more value than just "increase the counter". Using the ability an additional time, the effect of Carth or just doubling the amount of counters are better in this deck.

@Lusunu I think there just isn't much proliferate synergy in this deck. That seems like a very viable way to build the deck, it just isn't what this one is trying to do. Even Tezzeret's Gambit was cut recently.

Yes this is true. Tezzerets Gambit was an awesome card in this deck, but I think at that time, proliferate was almost the only way to increase counters, but over time there were more and better ways to increase loyalty counters and thats why I cut most of the proliferate cards.

Esper Sentinel is just the better draw engine and with Brokers Ascendancy we are able to buff our creatures and planeswalker without paying mana each time.
