Hey ! I really liked the idea of your deck and how flavorful it is. Really liked how you want to overwhelm your opponents with deep-sea monstrosity. Although, I'm quite not sold on the Reef Worm, which might be tricky to get to die in many situation. i could recommand you in its place Guardian Project, which will act as a powerful draw engine at every stage of the game.

Same thing for Thing in the Ice, because it could be really powerful, but in your deck, bouncing your own non-Horror creature is more of a blowout than in any other decks, as your creature's average CMC  is really high. And your instant and soreries' CMC is quite high too, you might not activate it in two turns or less which would be really slow. Instead, I think the flavor and reward for Quest for Ula's Temple might interest you, or an efficient card draw spell like Chart a Course or Divination might be enough.

On a last note, I think the Whale is a bit to light on the body and slow with its effects. If you want something similar, I will suggest you a Breaching Leviathan or a Shipbreaker Kraken, but my favorite would be the Nimbus Swimmer to take care of the flyers problem and be flexible. And if you have money to spend, Hydroid Krasis is even better in that role (always the card draw).

In this type of deck, you might also like things such as The Great Henge (Hmm, so tasty in commander, every mana dork becomes card draw in the late game ! ) , Whiptongue Hydra or Whirlwind to get down those pesky flyers (depends on your playgroup I guess).

I hope you liked my suggestions, and I also hope that you'll have great game with this deck !

The Piracy Never Ends

YAAARH MATEY !

This deck is centered around Beckett's ability, which means we have to hit quick and hard the opponents in the face to take their stuff and survive in the late game. One of my first deck, now remastered.
The manabase needs a bit fine tunning, choices have been made to take my purse into account. Take out the Sol Ring for a Talisman of Dominance and you'll have a fine 1v1 deck too.

The deck is made to corner one opponent after another, so stay political and flexible on your targets as you'll probably be seen as a threat early in the game. Even though Admiral Beckett requires you to stay focus, don't always do that ; nobody likes to be ganged up on, and you'll end up in Archenemy real quick without any means to win against 3 decks. But if it happens, the strategy is to developp yourself in the shadow when everyone thinks you're down and steal a flashy victory. (Try to find Mob Rule, it can be pretty nasty in the late game)

It's probably marked as illegal because both of their commanders are not in their main deck, but in the side board. @Kitsen , if you want to change that, you should add them to the main deck and specify at the bottom of the edit page that they are commanders / partners, or click on the flag at the right of their name in the main deck. Regards,  HP.

Yeah that's true, I didn't consider the tainted lands and it could be a good addition to the mana base. The Talisman are really good ! I didn't knew about the first two, but thanks to Modern Horizons it's going to be real easy to get my hands on the last one. Thank you very much !

Arcades, Stratego Champion

Nice aggro deck for the commander who always dreamt of Walls. I added a little bit of survivability in the late game and some plan B with mill (if we can't stick Arcades, it's going to be essential to win). Never played for now, but I can update the result if you're interested about the commander.

Feel free to comment about the deck or if you want to share your view on its gameplan, or anything else really. Have a nice day !

I didn't know that .. In fact my meta is quite slow and combo based (aside from the monogreen players) so I didn't quite catch that subtelty. But isn't the fixing also important ? I mean, I need some critical mass of duals to be sure I can function in the early game, as my game plan is to setup the board to take control of the battlefield as early as the midgame begins.

Thanks for the recommandation, I also hate to play tapped anyway.

Thanks for the feedback ! Yeah, the manabase is my greatest concern, but for multiplayer I guess it's okay. Too bad I can't spend much on lands to improve it, as I want to keep the deck as cheap as possible. (I got more than half of the cards through exchanges)

Note : The Sword Of Body and Mind is highly synergistic in my meta / deck, as I'm facing Big Mommy Ghalta most of my multiplayer matches 😂 And a Sword + evasion is kinda nice, it won me many games in the first version of my deck.

Beckett Brass v2

YAAARH MATEY !
This deck is centered around Beckett's ability, which means we have to hit quick and hard the opponents in the face to take their stuff and survive in the late game.

This deck is not totally optimized, especially the manabase, but it is meant to be fun and it really is ^^ If you have any suggestions I'm glad to hear them.

Yeah you're right, it's so difficult to choose sometimes ! I see you did a lot of work on it, that's so good, hope you can test it out soon and win games with it.
Did you see that Tenth District Legionnaire too ? With the scry, the Haste and the buff, she seemed so great but she's so difficult to fit in :/ Might be a better choice for a 1v1 focused Feather deck...

Deck Reviews / Re: [EDH / Commander] Kess Token Storm

I am not really sure of myself, but it seems like you are trying many different things with this one. It seems so fun to play though ! Really ambitious, I like it.

Okay so maybe, for the spellslinger side of things, I think you might want to consider putting a Ruby or Sapphire Medallion instead of another ramp card (Maybe the Fellwar Stone ? I am not sure.). It might help you a lot when casting all those spells in one turn and might even be of a greater help than the Talismans. Also, Jori En is a wonderful card engine. (Let's you draw cards during your opponents turn if it's your second spell ;)

Then, I a am not really sure about the Zada effects. Sure, it's really great when it works and it combines well with your cantrips, but they have to be played and stick for an entire turn to be really helpful, and because your deck won't have much creature, the opponents might save their removal just for them so ... I don't think they are that much of an help, but it really depends on your meta. If it brings you fun (and I am sure Zada and Mirrorwing Dragon delivers in that category), let them in ! Same goes for Thousand-Year Storm. It's an enchantement that costs 6 and does nothing the turn you play it, most of the time, so it's hard to get value from it (and that's sad because I want that card to stick a turn so baaaad !!).

It's just my opinion, but I feel like cards like Subterrean Tremors (love the art, but RIP your tokens) and Soulblade Djinn are not that good in that deck. The first one seems like a nonbo, and the second looks a bit too much win more.

So, if I were you, I would take away :
- Zada, Hedron Grinder
- Thousand-Year Storm
- Mirrorwing Dragon
- Crimson Wisps
- Expedite
- Fellwar Stone
- Subterrean Tremors
- Rakdos Signet
- Soulblade Djinn
- Chromatic Lantern (a good card indeed, but with three color and a solid manabase it's not that necessary I think)

And add :
- Jori En, Ruin Diver
- Opt (Filter, that's always good. Or Serum Vision if you like but the sorcery speed is more prohibitive )
- Thought Scour ( Lets you put two cards in your graveyard, almost like drawing 3, at instant speed )
- Ruby Medallion and / or Sapphire Medallion

And that's it ! Hope that helped, and have a nice day ;)
