These suggestions are all excellent but add another layer of complexity to the game plan.  That extra layer of complexity is having Purph be a creature.  I would say that in a typical game Purphoros is a creature about half the time, which would mean these cards wouldn't help half the time.  Purph is powerful enough for me to close out the game without having to rely on equipping him for extra power.

War Room is already in the deck.
Commander's Plate is killing me that I can't find room for it. because that would be amazing in this deck.  I may find a spot for it, but I already have tons of equipment with very specific abilities.  Notably, I have the Swords of X and Y, that only gives me protection from 2 colours instead of the 4 Commander's Plate would give, however they have two abilities that trigger when it deals combat damage and Balan gives me double strike and so double the triggers.  For the moment I prefer that, but we'll see.
Seraphic Greatsword is neat but conditional, which I hate.  Whenever there's a condition on a card, fate will find a way to screw you over.  The only way to avoid that is by not having that card at all, because it will always happen at the worst time.  Speaking of getting screwed over by a card, Rebbec is extremely cool, but I have Etched Champion and Stuffy Doll that I need to equip things to and I can't with Rebbec out.  It will be great in a lot of situations, but it can also work against me.  I'm already nervous with my Indomitable Archangel, but at least with that my artifacts are protected by all targeted removal, not just ones that can get around the mana costs.
Court of Grace: not powerful enough with the central strategy of my deck, plus puts the Monarch into play which will make me a target and help my opponents, two things I don't like.
Ardenn is a card I considered, but ultimately don't have room for, especially considering Balan can equip everything for 2 at instant speed, so it's good but a little redundant.
Archon of Coronation, super cool card but refer to the above regarding the Monarch mechanic.  Also, 6 mana is extremely expensive for this deck and doesn't contribute directly to fulfilling this deck's game plan.  Akroma is even more expensive and also doesn't contribute directly to the game plan (which is to strike with Balan at an opportune time with deadly equipment).
Akroma's Will is crazy good, but it doesn't do anything that my suite of equipment doesn't already do, and my deck benefits from equipment.  I would love to fit this card into my Aurelia deck somehow.
Slash the Ranks is an excellent suggestion and fits super well into the deck.  I'd rather have mass removal that will take out my opponent's commanders, however.  I did consider replacing Divine Reckoning, but it's cheaper and has flashback.  I also considered replacing Single Combat, but having to sacrifice creatures is far more powerful than destroying them, especially since Slash lets you regenerate.

These are good suggestions, as this deck can handle big splashy spells.  The idea of this deck is to take a few turns to set up a mega play, like a massive Genesis Wave, Gelatinous Genesis, Monstrositied Hydra Broodmaster etc.  Those plays tend to close out games.  To get to that state, I spend turns accelerating and laying down extra lands.  First priority is getting to 5 for Kruphix, then the next step is figuring out which spells will get me closer to critical mana and then play those.  It might look like a big spell free-for-all, but the deck has structure that's designed to get it from point A to point B to point C.

Apex Devastator, again, very cool card and very expensive.  Four Cascades is really cool, but I have a lot of X spells which do not interact well with Cascade.
Imoti, same issue with Cascade and X spells.
Brinelin, not enough bang for my buck.
Kamahl, very expensive and I don't need the overrun effect.  When I attack with 12 12/12 hydra or ooze tokens, overrun effects are less crucial.
Phyrexian Triniform is another very powerful curve-topping spell, but doesn't do enough to kick something else out of my top end.
Sphinx of the Second Sun has a unique effect, but my deck is not structured to take advantage of it.
Mnemonic Deluge is super powerful, but dependent on having stuff in the graveyard, and there aren't enough powerful targets that I would want to invest that kind of mana casting three times.  Many of my sorceries and instants have X in them, which doesn't work well with this card.
Kodama is cool and is a generally good card, but I find better synergies with other cards.
Magus of the order is a cool card, but I have the mana to cast cards you would normally need a card like this to cheat into play.
I love Staff of Domination, but it will use 15 mana and give you incremental gains, while I have other spells that can win me the game with 15 mana.
Gilrana, neat card but I don't think it's powerful enough.
Great suggestions!

Hi Liam, great suggestions.  I already have Mina and Denn as well as Lotus Cobra in this deck.

I considered Ashaya, but ultimately she doesn't have trample so her huge size is irrelevant.  Her ability to make nontoken creatures trigger landfall is what makes her interesting to me, but so far she hasn't made the cut.  I may make space for her one day.
Kodama is cool, but I don't have space for him.  The higher end of the mana curve is crowded and I have to keep a certain amount of discipline in not overloading the top end.
No go on Rootweaver Druid, I HATE helping my opponents.
Court of Bounty puts the Monarch in play, which is not something I typically like because it tends to benefit my opponents.
Apex Devastator, very cool but too expensive, same with Reshape the Earth.  I can't get too heavy in the higher CMCs.
Port Razer: Already have Moraug, who is superior in the deck and less conditional.
I like Valakut Exploration, but ultimately it's just not powerful enough with the other cards in the deck.
I tried Radha in the deck, but I always regret putting in conditional cards as I wind up gnashing my teeth in impotent rage when the conditions aren't right.  I tend to favour certainty in the way a card behaves in my deck.
Thanks for the suggestions!  Ashaya is your suggestion that has the most chance of being added, maybe for Phylath.

It’s not as effective as it would be in a token deck, but I still have lots of creatures.  It’s a very strong card and another layer of power.  Also it adds lots of Devotion to bring out Athreos.
