I do like Ponder better, though considering, the goal is to have a lethal swing in 4 turns, I don't think adding that much card draw is beneficial.

To me the ideal is:
Turn 1 - Play an Island, Ponder
Turn 2 - Play land, play a 2-drop
Turn 3 - Play land, play a 3-drop
Turn 4 - Play a bounce instant and infinitely cast a 0-cost artifact.

Aside from the first turn, and the (hopefully) last turn, I don't think there's mana to spend, so I'd rather Brainstorm be one of the key components.

Swapped around the side-board a bit, and shifted the colour concentration of basic lands.
