Creatures you control can't have -1/-1 counters placed on them. thats the reason.
With Vizier of Remedies or Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit it works

nice deck idea, but i think Field of Ruin is to bad.
you can destroy Nonbasic lands, but you have 2 Basics to search.
Wayward Swordtooth is not so good as Azusa, Lost but Seeking.
You have many games in These are you not have 10 Permanents, and Wayward Swordtooth does nothing.
