I'm putting my foot down. Leave my king baby alone. He is clearly saying a 0 mana creature 1/1 or 0/1 maybe because 1/1 might be too much, that taps for 1 mana of a specific color.
The downside compared to the original moxen is that they have summoning sickness. They'd also be a creature. I think overall that's a downside since every color bas creature removal, but it can chump block, and has a few other advantages.
It's actually a neat idea and a way to possible make balances moxen in edh.
I think its fair to point out that the magus cycle has abilities of powerful cards at a higher cost, and the expense of summoning sickness. The effects are almost always over costed relative to the original. Look at
Magus of the Wheel or
Magus of the coffers. I think
Magus of the Jar is closest to the original card,
memory jar.
If they were to continue over costing unique abilities, then a magus of the moxen cycle wouldnt be 0 mana. Also, taping for mana jsnt unique enough for a magic cycle I dont think.
