honestly I love running the boros token generators.
Outlaw's Merriment, and Assemble the legion
they can withstand a creature board wipe, and provides late game power. as well as pulling removal away from your more important permanents

Another Idea is adding the enchantment Indestructable and Pariah to combo and soft lock with the true fire captain.
its something that I don't believe many will expect from a boros deck.

yankeeseel also thank you, I love doomsday decks, and included it cause I hadn't really though of how powerful that really was.
I don't play doomsday often because of playgroup's power level, and I have a Zur doomsday deck already, so its just a less 'fun' combo for everyone at the table. but yes I agree, that is an epic combo

lue_dongbin thanks for your idea, and it can eventually go infinite turns but it tends to just hit and stick a wincon before there's too many extra turns. I've had it most often be the line of, 1- stick wincon 2- take extra turn 3- either win there or repeat step 2.

so I take it the objective is massive torch?

the older list im used to playing just aimed to play the creatures and swarm the board, running 3 of street wraith instead of burnt offering. it plays good agains pretty much everything asides from turbo fog plans.

In My experience the issue is combo decks. There are so many fun combos to play in edh and I love to play combos. I used to play the tawnos paradox engine deck. But there is more fun to be had when you manage to take a dozen or so turns with a convoluted board state of artifacts for the merchants dockhand to be able to find nexus of fate repeatedly. Or a multi card combo of scrap trawler, myr retriever and mindslaver to infinitely take my opponents turns. And my playgroup loved when those combos went off. The issue is 2 card combos that win turn 2. One of my players decided to build the thrasios/kydela deck. Which ran every possible tutor and revival spell with each and every combo in the simic colours. The issue is this played didn’t really read their cards and just googled the list of combos, thinking they were interchangeable. So this player for a while was able to fool us into thinking he’d won on turn 3 with any of his combos. This was fixed in 2 parts. Firstly we as a group started to monitor and read every card they played. To ensure that the combo was correct. And then secondly when this player went off we would not concede the game as his combo required him to use thrasios and sort his deck into cards and lands. This annoyed the player into destroying the deck. And unfortunately led to kess today. Which we have resorted to running banned cards to combat the combo solely to show that we as a playgroup do not enjoy those games.

I have played the bad guy in this way too. As I said I like combos. I have the anje deck and I have the greven voltron. My solution is that I make it clear when I play those decks. And play stuff like pheldagriff other games

General Magic / Re: making a "creatures in grave matter" deck need some help

You can loop tortured existence and grave scrabbler, it’s good if you need to pull value out of your deck. Loop with dredger in bin for a total self mill which can win with something like songs of the damned and mnemonic wall to infinite mana. Or just mill too a powerful win condition and pull it with tortex. Personally like to do worldgorger anje or geth mill for grave matters though.

So this is more of a sad story of the loss of my edh deck. I am a really big storm player, and I love to run combos. I dislike the combat step. I originally played the Lyzolda worldgorger combo (This has since evolved into the Anje worldgorger deck). But before anje came C18 and the saheeli precon. But I wasn’t focused on the planeswalker. I wanted tawnos. I had cracked a paradox engine back in revolt. And I was waiting for a deck to play it in. Tawnos was the perfect deck for me because it ran the colour pair I like using for storm, it runs artifacts which are easy to cast colour wise. And there are plenty of cards that become monsters with artifacts. I.e. storm the vault. The other great thing about tawnos was that it allowed for multiple winning combos. I ran a set or retriever cards to pull mindslaver back from the grave And taking all my opponents turns, and taking all the turns with nexus of fate and really busted draw engines. as well as the tawnos paradox engine combo that the deck aimed to win with. Each of these combos were awesome to play and the games were always fun. Anyways I have to go out of province for work. And due to where I was I did not have access to the internet for that time period. I spend a week out for work and come back (I have not checked the internet yet). I go to my lgs and sit down to a game of edh. I go through the normal game doing what I would with the deck. Eventually I get tezzeret, the seeker to 5 loyalty and go to fetch my paradox engine. As soon as the card hits the table everyone looks at me and the card. And continue to notify me of the ban made during the time I had gone away. Thus I lost the game too a all way draw and I have since turned my tawnos into my memories binder. Now I play Feldon and be degenerate once more, and play a lot of oathbreaker with my playgroup.
