Being instant is an big advantage, but there is a huge difference between 1 and 2 cards in an aggro deck. I'll test it, but chart a course isn't here for searching answers. Only for not running out of gas.

I think opt is better in a control deck when you have no other options for 1 mana and left mana oppenned for a counterspell.
