Budget Arena - Simic - War

Working on a budget Simic deck to play on MTG Arena for my kids who are on a super limited budget, but I want it to be fun for them.  All they have so far are the starter decks the three mythic's from the code given out this week (MythicMagic).  and the free packs from the codes so far (codes listed below).  These decks can be built right away with the wild cards you gain by doing the quest mode.

Restrictions so as not to make the decks too powerful and get into queues with tier decks:
No more than 5 rares and 1 mythic.

PLEASE feel free to provide suggestions, I plan on doing a series of these



PlayAllegiance: Redeems for three Ravnica Allegiance packs.  (Expires July 1, 2020)

Rakdos Destroy

I built this for just doing my quests when I needed Black, Red or Red and Black.  Really was just to get them done, but in the play format, it has a 75% win rate.  I have no idea why, but it seems to work it is even 63 cards because I could not make up my mind.  All opinions welcome.

Give it a try if you are looking for something different.

Went 5-1 with this version.  The only thing you might want to add a Vraska's Contempt or two.

I do as well, seems to maintain about a 56% win rate once you learn to play it well.  Not the most competitive deck, but in play mode is really fun.

I did drop 2 disdainful Stroke and replaced with 2 Spell Pierce still, trying to figure out the 2 mana counter I like the best.  Mono-Blue seems to be the toughest matchup, but not unbeatable.  The record is now  13 games 7 wins 53.85%. 

I use MTG Arena Tracker, honestly the best tracker and seems to have the fewest problems really nice local client.  https://mtgatool.com/

Currently tracking at a 57.14% win rate out of 7 games.  Mono-blue can be problematic if they are holding all their spell pierce's.  Boros was an issue when they came out of the gate with Cavalcade of Calamity.

In my brief time playing testing this deck, it has gone 5-1.  Gate deck is where it struggled 1 time, Mono Red it laughed at 2 times, control was far to slow 2 times, Tokens it at them faster then they could create them 1 time.

I am considering switching to 2 Seal Aways and taking out 2 Conclave Tribunal...

Playtesting so far, 6 games 4 wins / 2 Losses 67% win rate.  Some details of each game played:

Game 1 loss - 47 turns, against a weird black deck, had removal for every creature I played.
Opening hand:
3 plains
2 Ajani's Pridemate
1 Leonin Vanguard
1 Militia Bugler

Game 2 win - 7 turns ended with a concede.  Played against a white Winnie deck
Opening Hand:

1 Ajain's Pridemate

1 Healer's Hawk

Game 3 win - 7 turns ended with a concede.  Played against a white Winnie deck

Game 4 win - 7 turns ended with a concede, Looks as if the deck was a Gates deck.

Game 5 Loss - 12 turns I conceded, Izzit Drakes they had the better start.
