Sorry, I only just saw this.. I played a mega budget version of it at a FNM, went 2-2. The life gain is stupid good - the whip and pumping out each Gary a few times is crazy. I managed to stall out a game by just slamming creatures into my opponent and forcing him to block, so he either gave me life or he took damage, while I waited to top deck my last Gary for the win; there wasn't much my opponent could do. Another game the life gain pushed me out of burst range of an aggro red deck, so my opponent just ran out of steam.

It seems to get wrecked hard by Affinity decks though - but I guess that's just black in general being weak to artifacts.

I've made some updates but I haven't had a chance to play it yet.. my current deck list is closer to your original, link is below. I'll let you know how it goes when I get some more games in with it, there are some PPTQ events coming up soon I want to go to, so i need some reps for those

General Magic / Re: Sweet pre-release pulls?

I got a promo Zacama and pulled an Etali and some sweet dino support guys, so its looking like an RGW dinos build is in my future.

Managed to pull enough to build a semi-ok UG merfolk tempo/aggro deck to play the prere event with, but none of the big exciting merfolk.
