I think of goad as aif it's got 3 modes, pseudo self fog, temporary pillow fort, or delayed removal.

I thing the self fog part is obvious same with the temporary pillow fort, however I have goaded my opponents with the knowledge that certain creatures would be blocked and killed.

I started this thread because the thought experiment I find interesting how can you add this effect to other colors making slightly stronger versions than what there already is.

So I was thinking what are some new ways to see counter spells in non blue colors. 
Maybe we could see a white one like this

WW instant counter target spell with mana value less than your devotion to white.

Or a golgari one

GB instant exile target spell it's controller may search his/her library for a land card and put it on to the battlefield.

I'm looking to turn my norika Voltron into a stax build that the goal is to end the game with urborg, tomb of yawgmoth and karma maybe I'll die maybe they will who knows.  Anyway I was looking for suggestions on lesser known stax enchantments because I just want to use lesser used options for this list bonus points if it adds to the combo.

The way I see it every color has ways to mess with the graveyard so why not include a piece that can stop that. I really like that new 3 CMC rock from crimson vow best case scenario you have grave hate best case you never have to use it and you overpaid for one mana rock.

Puresteel paladin has the equip cost reduction and you're Boris so meeting metalcraft isn't hard so if you run these card he's an auto include because any equipment tutor or artifact tutor will help get skullclamp.

So here I am wanting to build a spectral adversary and stasis combo deck however every time I think about it I just sit there think using the same set up I can just win. 
It's so frustrating because this is the kind of stuff I like to do is soft lock people but literally every time they print a card that helps soft lock lately I find myself asking why not just have a wincon in this spot because it just ends the game there.

I double sleeve using dragon shield sealable sleeves as my inner sleeves and ultimate guard katanas for my outer sleeves.

This creates the best combination of waterproofing I found aswell as pulls the curls out of my foils over time.

I was bored and thinking Brokkos, apex of forever would be fun with decayed and letting of anticipation.  Would it be strong no, but when it works will people talk about it yes and that's the goal a unique Voltron strategy. 
I've never built a Voltron strategy without equipments so any help or advice or card considerations would be appreciated.

I think this is leading to a white commander that reduces the cost to activate clues. Which if this does happen I feel it’s a solid way to give white card draw that’s fair but good.  Maybe make it make the first clue you active each turn cost 0 and also make clues when an opponent does x.

How about Zirda, the Dawnwaker?

I mean yes zirda but I'm talking I think they will settle on clues as white card draw if they do we hopefully will see a very specific made for clues in mono white commander

I hope not - or rather I hope it's not the only/primary direction.

I'm fond of "dig" effects - see Winota or Armored Skyhunter (or blue card Call to the Kindred).

These are several factors to adjust to vary the effect:

- what causes the dig (triggered/activated; ETB/attack/mana)
- how many cards to dig through
- what to dig for
- whether to put a found card onto the battlefield or into your hand

I might be interested in a commander that reads something like this:

That could support any mono-W tribe - soldiers, warriors, humans, cats, angels, etc - as commander or be useful in the 99 of a W/X deck.

Or how about an enchantment:

These types of effects have a lot of potential, I think, if they're not too hamstrung. Two (not quite good enough) attempts:

Militia Bugler
Gavony Dawnguard

I like this but having an option for strict card draw would be cool and clues in white feels the best because it's fair and slow since white is supposed to be the worst at card draw clues just feel like a good fit for having options for how your card advantage happens.

I'd like some more lands like Grove of the Burnwillows. It'd be nice to finish that cycle.

This would actually be pretty cool and interesting to see.  It'd be cool to see them tie together lorewise though so maybe have them be unique lands to different planes that are connected and another way for beings to travel the multiverse at least a little bit by being able to travel to those planes through them.

Any enabler is a potential win con.  So for example in a spell slinger deck guttersnipe or thermo-alchemist can become wincons and also pick the pace of the game up because they do stuff that triggers off the things they want to do.  You can consider cards like archmage emeritus a "wincon" as well in spell slinger decks although keep in mind cards like this are not going to be what directly wins the game but because it give card adavantage off of what they are already doing it can open the door for the true wincon.  When looking for potential wincons always keep in mind if it is highly synergistic with the deck it could become a wincon or create an opportunity for a wincon to come out of nowhere.
