Deckstats Feedback / Feature Request for Deck Editor
« en: Abril 15, 2021, 12:06:44 am »
I want to start this out by saying that I believe that deck stats is by far the best deck editor currently available and as such would love to see it get even better!

The only things I wish would be here would be the ability to see a visual curve (much like how cards are sorted in Arena client) with all the cards being aligned to their slot on the curve (not super necessary just would be nice.

The second is one that I would ABSOLUTELY adore and that is the addition of "probability to be able to cast card X, Y, Z... etc on turn A, B, C ..." to the statistics calculator.

This could be implemented as either "chances to draw m red, n white and o blue sources by turn x" using whatever combination of colors and counts you want.

It would also be nice to have a way to shortcut calculations like "chances to draw thoughtseize or duress on 1, dreadhorde arcanist on 2, etc."

The ability to select have "OR" and "AND" and "BY TURN" to the draw statistics would be incredibly useful and something that I would utilize quite often personally.

I know Elvish Mystic and Llanowar elves are essentially identical, but it still triggers me that you put the non standard legal one in an obviously standard deck...

Yes, but you can't sequence into it as easily and be mana efficient with your turns. Plus the body isn't as useful to me as the mana ramp or the flip land and additional counters that Hadanas provides.

New horizons is there because hitting a turn 2 druid into a turn 3 new horizons and then still having 3 mana and then next turn playing a land and untapping with 8 mana, 3 from the druid and 5 from lands.

There is a similar play pattern given a Hadanas climb in hand  by turn 3 with the additional benefit of trading one less mana while ramping into more flying damage and counters.

I have a few of both to increase the chances of hitting either or without overloading on either as they can be dead cards in hand later in the game.

I think this deck is trying to do too much and as a result has too many "silver bullet" type cards making it seem unreliable at best...

:-* Look at the maybeboard bb, the 2 slots where sikic ascendancy is is in my book 2 flex spots for anything in the maybeboard

I was definitely considering her and/or Herald of Secret Streams to straight up make them unblockable, but ended up cutting them for the more "fun" cards like sonic ascendancy. Hence why they and some other meme-y cards are placed into the maybeboard

Deeproot waters only creates Merfolk on casting Merfolk spells, hence when you cast Lena, Selfless Champion, you will only get 1 Merfolk token not 10 as you say since those soldier tokens enter the battlefield and are not cast. Also, seems weak to boardwipes and any other forms of sweeper effects so you might want to tech in some counter play against that.

Edit: Also Mana base seems a little clunky and I would highly recommend investing in some nice dual lands for this to run a little smoother. Since you are mainly splashing blue and have some double whit in the form of Lena I would recommend adding 4x Temple Garden, 4x Sunpetal Grove, 4x Hinterland Harbor and/or maybe cutting some number of lands and/or some other elves to make room for 4x Flower/Flourish to act as mana fixing (note when using this card, your "land total" at least virtually is the sum of the numbers of copies you use plus the land total so build according to avoid flooding out)

Cheers and good luck on this spicy brew!
