hmn I usually use extra myrs as blockers but wall of souls would fit, but its not modern legal unfortunately.

Yes, it would, if they are at even life. If they are at odd life, it will deal their life - 1 as heartless hidegetsu rounds down. Though a curse will take care of that.

Thanks! Yup, its likely that you'll have around 9~10 mana on turn three which is enough for most of the eldrazi, and if you don't it'll likely be 4. Pathrazer of ulamog turn 3 would be lucky draw though possible, its usually turn 5 for him when I play this deck cause he's 11 mana. If you can't you probably should have mulliganed.

I wouldn't go with Primal Surge, as you'd have to sac a creature for it and most of your sacable creatures tap for mana. If you're not going to pay the kicker, go with Cultivate. You could also use something like Greenweaver Druid. Maybe consider the same for Basalt Monolith? Primal Surge might also be fun since you have so few non-permanents.
