A few more tweaks.  Shambling Vent in place of Scoured Barrens. I can't think of a single way that this isn't an upgrade.

Replaced Alhammaret's Archive so I could have 4 Altar's Reap.  Being able get extra cards with less mana has helped and the synergy with Zulaport works well.

That's good stuff. My only concern is to be careful with the shambling vents because it's a land that turns into a creature so it's a target for kill spells as well.Make sure you have your bases covered when using it.

A few more updates to the cards that I have on hand. Pulled on Ob Nixilis Reignited yesterday and added him.  A few other changes to match what I have in stock. Looking forward to my first FNM in a few days where I can take it for a test drive.  Thanks for all the suggesting and keep them coming.

It looks pretty good man. If you add some damnable pact, some evolving wilds and maybe a unified front you can get some faster token production ( the damnable pact and maybe a 2nd vampiric rites would be to make the draw even greater for when you ulti ob nixilis).

Played a mirror Friday night for a few hours and came away with a lot of good info.  The big change is that I went away from the sacrifice plan altogether.  I've added 2 Gideon, Ally of Zendkar, a 2nd Ob Nixilis Reignited and 2 Expedition Envoy.  Upgraded my control cards with Utter End, Ruinous Path and Stasis Snare.  Not sure if Retreat to Emeria is really worth it anymore.

Gideon makes Rally very potent, and I wish I could afford a set myself. I'm curious if Ob Nixilis plays mid-range or pushes you all the way into control.

If you're using kalastria healer AND zulaport cutthroat then yes retreat to emeria is definitely worth having. You can either makes ally tokens and  get the rally triggers. Also the enchantment gives you the kor ally tokens to sacrifice so that you can deal more damage to your enemy when you ultimate ob nixilis and while your zulaport is out. This way your planeswalkers actually work together in tangent with the other creatures and enchantments in this deck. I'm not sure if you see it or not but your deck actually has good synergy.

I've been looking at TCG and Ebay semi-regularly for the last few weeks and have seen Gideon as low as $18.  I got 2 of them for just under $40 with emblem and token cards.  That card makes a huge difference.  You could get the whole deck for under $100 with a little effort.

It's definitely a more control oriented deck now and I like the flexibility of Ob Nixilis and the other planeswalkers.

Thanks for the advice.  I've been testing with a much more conservative/control approach and the Retreat has had more impact.  I playing all-out aggro and when I do that by the time this card comes into play it's not a big factor.

I understand. But keep in mind though, if your opponent destroys all of your ATTACKING creatures you can always pump out a token for defense. If you want to go for that big swing for the offense then drop an evolving wilds, sac it for a double landfall trigger and then play kor bladewhirl so all of your creatures who just got +2/+2 stronger will now have first strike and trust me, a field full of creatures that hit first is just as good as any control deck.
