This requires a little bit of explaining. Eon Hub.

• Cumulative upkeep: You need to pay an increasing amount of a resource each upkeep to keep a permanent alive
• Echo: Pay the echo cost once during your next upkeep or lose your permanent
• Fading: Would normally remove a fading counter each upkeep until there are none left and you lose the permanent
• "At the beginning of your upkeep do bad stuff"
• Pact of Negation

All of these mechanics rely on upkeep step being a thing. If you remove it you remove the downside and keep the upside for free. Even the commander is an upkeep-related card: original Nicol Bolas!

My question to you is: can you think of anything I've missed? I've still got to add some artifact recursion because I'm pretty sure Eon Hub will get blown up pretty often. Suggest the jankiest card I haven't seen yet and win free internet points!

Are Braid of Fire and Thran Turbine really worth it? They don't do a whole lot even if you get your upkeep. With no upkeep, they don't do anything.

You could use Stasis as a soft lock once you get a good board state and Eon Hub out.

Also. Not to be that guy, but what do you if the Hub gets exiled?

Play a counterspell, use Braid of Fire or Thran Turbine. They're just bad backup plans. I mean... Is this deck going to be the championship winner deck? I don't think this deck is going to do anything before Eon Hub is out.
