Advice/clarification regarding Kor Outfitter ability

Kor Outfitter:

"Whenever Kor Outfitter enters the battlefield; you may attach target Equipment you control to target creature you control."

Two questions.

1) Does this mean a target equipment from the hand, or from the battlefield (i.e. an eqiupment that has been played but not actually equiped to a creature)
2) What of the equip/mana cost associated with the target equipment affected in this way by KO?

Hey dude,

it is "Equipment you control". So it only works on Equipments which are already in play. You can equip any Equipment you control to any Creature you control. You dont have to pay for the equip, otherwise the ability would be useless.
