Would be great in modern, yes. For now I am going to take my shot at standard play with this one. If it does reasonably, I will brew it into something better; otherwise, I will drop it for a better deck.

ah, I understand:)   what do you think about Brave the Sands instead of Makindi Patrol?

I also like your idea of using Eldrazi Displacer to flicker.

That actually might be better idea, but that makes me want to use that Origins enchantment centaur to give card draw.
