Hi guys.  :)
With a group of friends I wanted to start playing commander, and since I started playing Magic with the Tarkir block I wanted to make a deck using a creature from that block as my general.
I choose Surrak, mainly because I love playing big creatures and doing the game as mother-nature does it.
I didn't have the chance to try it out yet, but I'ld love to hear suggestions/comments or anything else on it. Thank you ^^

Since your Commander is mono green, you can only have green cards in your deck.  I would suggest going Green and Blue or Red and Green and using one of your Legendary Enchantment Creatures.

You could work Kiora, Master of the Depths into this pretty easily. She'd be pretty solid and isn't too expensive.

bensonbledsoe: that seems like an interesting idea, but why would I prefer him over the Bident?

ladof: Gosh I'm so dumb. Of course she would work well in that. Thanks. I just need to see what to switch for leave some room for her

You are going to need 1 board wipe card and I'd recommend sword of the animist

Is there a good board wipe you would recommend?

Depends you want to exile or destroy but you are running green, blue and red. I'll look some up and just choose.
Colourless
 All is Dust
 Oblivion Stone
 Nevinyrral’s Disk
 Worldslayer

Blue
 Curse of the Swine
 Ixidron

Red
 Blasphemous Act
 Apocalypse
 Warp World
 Starstorm
 Jokulhaups
 Decree of Annihilation
 Rolling Earthquake
 Obliterate
 Devastation
 Pyrohemia
 Chain Reaction
 Bloodfire Colossus
 Ashling the Pilgrim
 Scourge of Kher Ridges
 Destructive Force
 Jaya Ballard, Task Mage
 Inferno
 Disaster Radius
 Chandra, the Firebrand
 Flowstone Slide
 Volcanic Wind
 Firestorm
 Kindle the Carnage
 Devastating Dreams

Red/Green
Savage Twister

There are more I am sure but that list was a quick lookup. I personally don't care for Mistcutter Hydra and if you can replace it with Primordial Hydra. Also going to suggest imprisoned in the moon from the new set. Play that on anybody's commander and basically shuts down the commander.

You would prefer edric because 1. He's a creature which is kind of the temur way. 2. He can be used politically in the game. 3. He's only a three drop over a four

Very true. Might be a nice idea to try him. Thanks ^^

robort: That's a lot of removals... I guess I'll have to check which ones I prefer. Thank you very much ^^

You are welcome but that was just mostly destruction mass removal, see if I can find more than just 1 exile removal.

Well I'm pretty fine with mass removals, as I can kill my opponents's weakest creatures without killing mine (as they are almost all big monsters) and it's always a nice backup plan. Blasphemous Act and Savage Twister seem very interesting to me, and Curse of the Swine could be a sweet idea
