to be perfectly honest I'm not sure I am still unclear as to the differences in all the formats and the rules for each specific one which is why I left the format unfilled on this deck

I'll do my best to explain
Casual is where anything is allowed, but things might be frowned upon by your playgroup
Modern is where there are banned cards and sets after 8th edition allowed
Commander/EDH is where you can have only 1 of every card except basic lands, and you have a commander which is in the command zone. The only colors allowed are your commanders colors
Legacy is all sets allowed, but cards are banned
Vintage is where you can have 1 of the cards on the restricted list, and all sets allowed
Standard, atm anyways, is where you can only use certain sets, nothing banned from those sets. The current sets are Dragons of Tarkir, Origins, Battle of Zendikar, Oath of the Gatewatch, Shadows over Innistrad, and Eldritch Moon.
Does that help a little?

Also, all of these except commander/edh require at least 60 cards, and 4 of each (except basic lands) of the same card maximum. commander/EDH has 100 cards exactly, and the previous rules above.

Well, in that case..
You're almost never going to get out Memnarch because that format takes 1-3 turns (I think)
I think Ensoul Artifact would be great.

ok I'll do that but i'll leave Memnarch in the side board because I feel like he still has some uses

That's a good sideboard card.

Almost all of the Artifacts decks I've ever played against used Cranial Plating, Mox Opal, Inkmoth Nexus, most have used Arcbound Ravager and/or Etched Champion.  I am not a Legacy or Vintage player so I am unfamiliar with exactly what you are up against but that combo puts a very fast clock on your opponent.  Some of those are budgetish and some are not.

Dump out 3 0 costed artifacts, 1 being Mox Opal, to activate Metalcraft and cast Cranial Plating Turn 1.  Activate Inkmoth Nexus equip Cranial Plating and swing for 5-6 infect turn 2.  Turn 3 repeat for win. With a Sol Ring in the mix it gets even more consistent.

I think Ensoul Artifact is a very good addition to this deck.  Why not bump it up to 4?  Cast that on turn 2 on one of your Ornithopter and you have a 5/5 flyer turn 2.  Equip Cranial Plating turn 3 and your probably hitting for 8 or 9.

Also Skullclamp is legal in that format.  I would consider adding some of them.  Keeps you in cards and is cheap to equipped.

I agree with this. I never have played vintage/legacy before either, but I do know that it is one of the fastest formats.

Modern artifact affinity decks are actually really good.
