Revision 2

Added/removed cards:
-1 Artisan of Kozilek
-1 Aspect of Mongoose
-1 Chameleon Colossus
-1 Cloudthresher
-1 Creeping Renaissance
-1 Dark Depths
-1 Darksteel Ingot
-1 Deadly Recluse
-1 Deadwood Treefolk
-1 Desert Twister
-1 Garruk Wildspeaker
-1 Howl of the Night Pack
-1 Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary
-1 Stonewood Invocation
-1 Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger
+1 Avenger of Zendikar
+1 Boundless Realms
+1 Greenwarden of Murasa
+1 Hornet Queen
+1 Hydra Broodmaster
+1 Myriad Landscape
+1 Nissa, Vastwood Seer
+1 Not of This World
+1 Patron of the Orochi
+1 Ranger's Path
+1 Scour from Existence
+1 Song of the Dryads
+1 Swiftfoot Boots
+1 Verdant Confluence

Changed amounts:
+1 Snow-Covered Forest

Explanations:
-1 Artisan of Kozilek
+1 Patron of the Orochi
Artisan was like... okay. I remember half the time recurring Eternal Witness, ha. Rather spend 8+ mana on something that is really strong by itself: Seedborn Muse number 2, but slower (needs haste). Still, the effect is so so strong.

-1 Aspect of Mongoose
+1 Swiftfoot Boots
Recurring shroud was really nice, I'm not going to lie. But having shroud and not hexproof is a nombo with other effects, and also haste is so so important. Haste wins games.

-1 Chameleon Colossus
+1 Hydra Broodmaster
Why spend mana for a temporary benefit when instead you could make a gamewinning number of hydras?

-1 Cloudthresher
+1 Song of the Dryads
Cloudthresher is just like, meh. Sure it's a 7/7 flash for 6 but I have never, ever been impressed by it. And Song of the Dryads is basically green Oblivion Ring. Yes, please.

-1 Creeping Renaissance
+1 Verdant Confluence
Creeping was not bad by any means, it was powerful recursion. But Verdant Confluence has more utility. It can ramp early game, or recur 3 permanents (of different types!) lategame. Or.. buff something? (Ha ha.)

-1 Dark Depths
+1 Myriad Landscape
It turns out 30 mana is still a crapton even in Omnath. And when I have 30 mana, I have better things to spend it on.

-1 Darksteel Ingot
+1 Nissa, Vastwood Seer
She fetches a forest, which is better than Darksteel Ingot most of the time. And her +1 is basically draw a card, which is amazing in green.

-1 Deadly Recluse
+1 Hornet Queen
Had it for early game deterrence, but it's just too small. Hornet Queen makes a bunch of deathtouch fliers, so that's still decent.

-1 Deadwood Treefolk
+1 Greenwarden of Murasa
I'd rather recur things besides creatures, like... Genesis Wave. Or All is Dust. Basically a straight upgrade.

-1 Desert Twister
+1 Scour from Existence
Basically Desert Twister but better. Though I love Desert Twister actually being green, exiling and instant speed make this much more useful.

-1 Garruk Wildspeaker
+1 Ranger's Path
This deck can't defend him well enough, and his +1 is not a lot better than just Explosive Vegetation.

+1 Avenger of Zendikar
-1 Howl of the Night Pack
Howl is okay but it's not strong enough. (I guess?)
Hold on I'm actually not convinced this was a good decision, a bunch of 1/2s and a big creature vs the same number of 2/2s. I suppose eventually the plants grow beyond 1/2 and need to be answered, but that is multiple turns. Avenger can be Genesis Waved I suppose.

-1 Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary
+1 Snow-Covered Forest
Banned, already replaced them with a forest.

-1 Stonewood Invocation
+1 Not of This World
Very similar role, except Not of This World is free when we have 6 or more mana. Stonewood Invocation could counter other players' targeting of their own creatures, and worked until the end of the turn, but I want to try this out.

-1 Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger
+1 Boundless Realms
It's just too painful when it's copied or stolen, and green can't deal with that. Boundless Realms is *like* doubling all your mana, right?

Cutting some less good recursion (Genesis, Noxious Revival) for better card draw (Rishkar's Expertise, Nissa, Vital Force).
Swap Tower of Fortunes for Tireless Tracker: same cost per card, but with less initial investment.

Swap a snow-covered forest for a Dryad Arbor because I had one sitting around; also it seems like a fun GSZ target.

Revision 5

Added/removed cards:
-1 Genesis
-1 Noxious Revival
-1 Tower of Fortunes
-1 Vorrac Battlehorns
+1 Chariot of Victory
+1 Dryad Arbor
+1 Nissa, Vital Force
+1 Rishkar's Expertise
+1 Tireless Tracker

Changed amounts:
-1 Snow-Covered Forest

Made these changes years ago, went through and updated my list to reflect the current contents. Still needs more early ramp and to trim some clunkiness.

Revision 6

Added/removed cards:
-1 Myriad Landscape
Too slow and clunky, we have much better options in green.

-1 Not of This World
+1 Heroic Intervention
Never did live the dream of casting it for free.

-1 Wolfbriar Elemental
Actually fairly decent, but just not really an angle the deck really supports.

-1 Wurmcalling
This card's just bad, even with Gaea's Cradle.

+1 Kodama's Reach
+1 Nature's Lore
+1 Nissa's Pilgrimage
ramp pls. this is probably too many 3 CMC ramp spells but oh well i can fix it later

+1 Misty Rainforest
Had one lying around, may as well.

+1 Wave of Vitriol
Other people are always doing grosser things than us. Gets around Darksteel Forge and as a plus, we play very few nonbasics.

Changed amounts:
-1 Snow-Covered Forest
-1 (Main) +1 (SB) Song of the Dryads
Mine... went missing? I don't know where it is.

This deck didn't really need an update, because it was probably my strongest deck. However, I felt like I'd done just a terrible job on the ramp package and wanted to try and improve it. (Probably because I built it a long time ago.)

I think I cut too many trample sources, and probably want to go back up one or two.

Revision 9

Added/removed cards:
-1 Brawn
-1 Duplicant
-1 Goblin Cannon
-1 Greenwarden of Murasa
-1 Kodama's Reach
-1 Nissa, Vastwood Seer // Nissa, Sage Animist
-1 Nissa, Vital Force
-1 Rancor
-1 Ranger's Path
-1 Sculpting Steel
-1 Slice in Twain
-1 Steel Hellkite
-1 Sword of Vengeance
-1 Verdant Confluence
+1 Bala Ged Recovery // Bala Ged Sanctuary
+1 Garruk's Uprising
+1 Hall of Gemstone
+1 Kenrith's Transformation
+1 Llanowar Elves
+1 Once and Future
+1 Ram Through
+1 Return of the Wildspeaker
+1 Sol Ring
+1 Three Visits
+1 Turntimber Symbiosis // Turntimber, Serpentine Wood
+1 Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger
+1 Wild Growth

Changed amounts:
+1 (Main) -1 (SB) Song of the Dryads
Gonna get a replacement.

Explanations:
-1 Brawn, +1 Garruk's Uprising
Pretty sure I was just chumping with this to get it in my graveyard. Trample that cantrips seems a lot getter.

-1 Duplicant, +1 Kenrith's Transformation
Cantripping removal that's more annoying for commanders.

-1 Greenwarden of Murasa, +1 Once and Future
Give me my two cards up front, please.

-1 Kodama's Reach
-1 Ranger's Path
+1 Sol Ring
+1 Llanowar Elves
+1 Wild Growth
+1 Three Visits
Going from three 3 mana spells to two, adding more 1 mana ramp.

+1 Ram Through
This mostly just looks funny. It's probably not good long term.
