unfair sniper deck

unfair sniper deck

Gisela, Blade of Goldnight+Quietus spike=ohko. it is also difficult to block because it has firststrike, deathtouch, and flying. In addition if a creature does not have hexproof or indestructible the deathtouch snipers will dispose of them so they couldnt block anyway.

Total war+Basandra, Battle Seraph+silent arbiter= enemy board wipe
Silent arbiter overall works great with a sniper deck because it severely restricts enemy attacks. It also works well with planeswalkers, It has amazing synergy with total war, and Basandra, Battle Seraph which allows you to pick which creature an opponent will attack with. Note you do not have to worry about your own field getting wiped by total war because you can tap all of your snipers to avoid the effect, when you attack.

Sublime Archangel is also a good fit because of its synergy with silent arbiter and sniper decks as a whole, because it is really the only creature that will be attacking.

Furnace of rath is good in this deck because it boosts sniper damage. Normally the downside to it is that you and the opponent lose a lot of creatures whenever anyone attacks, however since you do not need to attack with your snipers, you may have silent arbiter on the field, and the only creatures that you would attack with have flying you are safe. Additionally, you can also offset the drawbacks of furnace of rath with Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. If you have both cards out you will have a 4X damage multiplier and your opponent will have a 1x multiplier. You can offset the low number of Gisela, Blade of Goldnight in the deck by scrying with temple of triumph, and you can compensate for her high cost with Rite of flame

Beware! Gisela, Blade of Goldnight doubles damage, not life loss!

I was thinking that, too. My thoughts on how that works would be (assuming full 20 health.)

Gisela damages for 5, doubled to 10.
Quietus Spike then takes an additional 5 (half of the remaining 10) in life loss, not damage.

Quietus spike is a neat card, but by definition can never actually kill someone.

I reread the cards and agree with you but then i realized i did not need quietus spike anyway because furnace of rath+Gisela does enough damage to ohko from 20
