Short information: You cant add Cranial Plating in your UW EDH deck because of the color identity of the artifact, which is black because of the black mana symbols in the textbox.

Actually, it is possible to use Cranial Plating.  As a card's color is determined by it's mana cost, it is colorless.  The only exception to this is if the card said that it was a certain color.

Also, I would recommend adding in Oldric, Master Tactician, given that it's basically Master Warcraft on a stick.

ccevik is correct, because it contains the black mana symbols it can't be used in a RW edh deck. (The rules state that if the mana symbol is present on a card it can't be used if that mana symbol isn't also on your commander's card.) I would look into adding Leonin Shikari for instant speed equips.
