Geistblast + Approach of the Second Sun

If I have a geistblast in my graveyard and cast approach of the second sun and activate geistblast from the graveyard will geistblast resolve first and then casting approaching the second sun from my hand win the game
In a nutshell will this combo work

My thought is no; copying a spell is not equivalent to 'casting'.

706.10. To copy a spell, activated ability, or triggered ability means to put a copy of it onto the stack; a copy of a spell isn't cast and a copy of an activated ability isn't activated.

I am relatively new to the game, but that seems to say no.

But you will need to produce a lot of mana to play the second one unless you have some way to reduce that converted mana cost.

Harness the Storm unfortunately does not work as Approach goes into your library when it resolves, unless it was countered. Generally speaking, your best bet is to dig for it with Aetherworks Marvel since that lets you dig six cards deep. If you have a way to draw a card, you can activate Marvel and instantly win.

Hiya.

@Nutshell-Answer: No, combo does not work.

Why? As stated in the rules and on magiccards.info: 4/18/2017: A copy of a spell isn’t cast, so it won’t count as the first nor as the second Approach of the Second Sun.
But it says also: 4/18/2017: As your second Approach of the Second Sun resolves, it checks only whether the first one was cast, not whether the first one resolved. If your first Approach of the Second Sun was countered, you’ll still win the game as your second one resolves.

@Harness the Storm: Works only if the first Approach of the Second Sun was countered AND you need 14 Mana.

Conclusion: Suggested "Combo" does not work, Harness the Storm is way too expensive, Aetherworks Marvel is a good option.

Another "good" but in another way "very expensive" option is: Approach of the Second Sun + Mana Drain = Approach of the Second Sun => Win! But who owns these days a Mana Drain? Personally, I'd go with Aetherworks Marvel OR think up a counter-combo, but then again... There are easier ways to win and I'm a lazy magic player so I generally won't ever play something that costs 7 Mana. (By the time I get there I should have won or lost anyways)

While not stated in the previous post, the way aetherworks marvel helps approach of the second sun is you cast it 1st time from hand or found with the marvel, it goes 7 deep in library; another 6 card spin of marvel makes approach of the second sun top of deck. Just speeds up time to find it first time, then get to it for draw to hand 2nd time.
