[Legacy] Tezzeret the Seeker

I replaced the three cards that saw the least play of all in this deck :
Academy Ruins : virtually unused over all my plays so far.
Crucible of worlds : sporadic use but mostly unnecessary due to Winter Orb.

Replaced by Darksteel Citadels to up my Artifact count and gett the Certarchs active faster more reliably.

Batterskull : also sees play too few times. I'll try Karn, Scion of Urza in its place.

Karn did well in latest game.
Opponent had Qasali Pridemage out, preventing my Tezzeret from going for Grindstone/Painter win.
karn took over producing two 5/5 artifact creatures, which Tezzeret untapped after they attacked so they could defend as well.

Sometimes I can get Tezzeret out real fast but he has little to no protection : shield sphere could be the answer here. Tezzeret can tutor for it for no loyalty cost and I get an extra artifact in play and a good defender at that.

Hi calebbw,

This is more like Grindstone / Painter's Servant decks but with only 1 copy necessary of each thanks to Tezzeret.

Once Tezzeret hits the Battlefield the game should/could be over a turn later.
When Tezzeret ETB you tutor for the Grindstone and a turn later you tutor for the Servant ( choosing blue ) at which point you mill your opponent's entire deck.

So, you want Tezzeret in play asap -> Grim Monolith allows a Tezzeret on T3, win on T4 the soonest.

If that strategy doesn't work you can always use Tezzeret's third ability and attack with a lethal amount of 5/5 artefact creatures.

I'm hesitating to go lower than 20 land, although I do have 4 Monoliths and a mox opal on top.
The artifact lands are potential 5/5 creatures and I want my artefact count to be 20+ to support the Certarchs and Tez.

I've never really run into mana problems with this deck.
I also don't have the impression I get too much land but I might try to go with one or two fewer.
1 Ponder instead of a land and 1 more fetch land maybe ?

Further tuned the creature base.
Voltaic Servant may be very useful untapping Monoliths, 5/5 artifacts who have attacked or Seats of the Synod for an extra mana.
