Well, Murder looks like it will be in M25, if that is any indication on where 'powerful' throwbacks will be printed. Still room for doomblade in Dominaria - I guess - but I will think it will be nerfed standard with the throwbacks in all the reprint products they've announced lately.

Apologies; in the the last page or two there was speculation on which reprintable cards would make the 'standard-approved-not-too-powerful' mark and be in the upcoming Dominaria set vs. which cards WotC would think are too powerful to reprint in standard and be doled out in M25 or other upcoming releases. I was expounding on that line, commenting that an effect like murder didn't make that cut as it was leaked as being in M25.

The professor uploaded a video for his predictions about a week ago. you should check what he has to say I think that despite how good he did predicting Ixilan I don't think some of what he said is going to happen. I don't think we are about to see a new age of powerful magic which is unfortunate. But he was being optimistic where as I am taking a more pessimistic view on it. I hope hes right tho

For anyone who has been following the MTG lore, Jace is now on Dominaria with Gideon and an older woman who may be the human wizard  Jhoira of the Ghitu? That would be a good way to tie in old walkers with new ones.

And they seem to be on the Weatherlight; legendary vehicle detected? What would that card look like? Maybe use the same crew cost as heart of Kiran, or have some other bonus if combined with a planeswalker...

I gathered the woman with Gideon when Jace dropped in was Jaya (Ballard?), as that better fit the description (older, gray hair vs. Jhoira's slowtime water effect on aging) and I don't think Jaya was ever conformed dead - good news for Chandra as she studied some of Jaya's stuff as a monk.

But we only got a few brief  moments of that meeting in the story - maybe Jhoira is below deck, we know from the art released that Jhoira is still around...

eh I dont think we will get a jace this set we just got one in Ixilan they waited to give us that one after shadows rotated out I think we wont see a jace card for awhile but the jace is a main character in the story so his presence doesn't surprise me

My prediction for a new Jace Planeswalker is that it won't be until at least the set after Core 2018.

He popped on the ship Gideon was on, with the older lady in red robes.  Gideon had to meet the woman and get on the ship; Jace has been on Ixalan for months. I think there is a lot that happened on Dominaria in those months so WotC should have plenty of Jaceless plot to fill a set's worth of stories; Jace hopping aboard can take place at the end of the Dominaria set stories after Gideon does 'things' to be aboard the rebuilt Weatherlight - so hopefully no reason for a Jace card in Dominaria's upcoming set.

Safe to say there will be a new Gideon planeswalker, probably without the signature "Indestructible" ability.  I would love the old lady to be Captain Sisay on the Weatherlight.  Maybe see Gerard and Mirri.  Squee, Goblin Nabob would be amusing.  We know Karn will be there.  Ajani will most likely be there.  Jhoira as a planeswalker with a +1 that will cast a spell suspended from your hand would be interesting.  Hopefully Teferi is still a planeswalker.
