New: Automatically detect tokens in deckbuilder
« on: June 26, 2022, 11:23:50 pm »
Our Deckbuilder can now automatically detect which tokens are needed for your deck. Just scroll down to the Tokens section, click "Detect Tokens" and you will get a list of all the tokens to add. In addition, we can also detect extra tokens in your deck that aren't actually needed and remove them.

Please give it a try and let me know what you think!

Emblems are unfortunately not supported at the moment but it should be able to identify all normal tokens.

Thanks for adding this option ;)
Now I don't have to add my deck to Moxfield to make sure I didn't forget to add some tokens :)

It is a pretty great feature. Every time I make a deck on here I forget to add tokens so now I can add the tokens to know exactly which ones it needs for the deck I am building

This is fantastic! I just used it, and it really is great. Adding emblems in the future will be nice, too. Does this catch the non-token "tokens" like Monarch, City's Blessing Day/Night card, Dungeons, or Morph?

One that I noticed is that "copy spell" effects that can copy a permanent spell don't result in a copy token. It came up with Nalfeshnee. Does the feature pull tokens based on associated cards in Scryfall? Nalfeshnee doesn't have a copy token as an associated card, but its oracle text does specify to create a copy token if it copies a permanent spell. Not sure how you'll get around that or if you want to.

When creating the tokens it shows the source card names.  If those were able to mouse over for the card images then it would be much more easy to decide how many one would need, depending on the what the cards do.

Love it! Shame it's hidden and I have found it accidentally.

I forgot all about this. Going to make hunting down all the tokens for my Purphoros deck so much simpler.

I noticed 1/1 White Halfling doesn’t appear to exist in the token option data. It’s a LotR token that came out recently.   Maybe it slipped through the cracks?
