I'm looking at making a Mentor deck too, but without risk factor and adding deafening clarion. If you're able to boost creatures past the 3/3 mark (which shouldn't be too hard), it'd really add to the deck. Risk Factor only seems good when you're ahead.

i understand what you mean but risk factor is very important because if they don't give you the card draw then that is potentially 8 damage for 1 card.  That is massive value just from one card and sometimes that extra damage will get them within burn range and you have 7 other sources in the deck that burn for 3 damage.  I really don't like seeing the deck without risk factor.  However, that doesn't mean that you can't play the deck without it.

Is there no place for a Shalai in there ? It's not a very Mentor friendly creature but combined with Tajic your buffed creatures are immune to removal.
