might try adding a mystical tutor. a lot of the draws seem to come up empty on spells. as soon as you hit a spell, you win, but its not likely to hit one in the mean time

I just built this and you absolutely need a second lab maniac, just in case the first one gets countered.
Its so satisfying when this deck works, especially if you mulligan to 2
and your opponent just looks at you strangely while you start to grin menacingly.
Great fun overall.

You'll be slaughtered incredibly easily by most other standard decks with such few creatures out. Especially if you draw nothing but islands, which is actually fairly likely to happen.

You only need to mulligan until you draw a card different from the laboratory maniac and an island

I just tested this deck and there was a quastion: If there is "lab maniac" on the field and I have to "reveal" cards until there is a nonbasicland and I only have basiclands in my deck, is it a win? (I don't know if reveal automaticaly means "draw and show")

I don't know, I'm sure it is not considered draw. I think you finished the deck and the next turn you win

Nice deck. Building it. I'll suggest an addition. You could use the Cephalid Illusionist + Shuko combo, to quickly remove Islands from your deck (once you have Laboratory Maniac and Treasure Hunt or Fathom Trawl in your hand, obviously).

@ borsti No that isnt a draw I fixed this by adding a treasure cruise to the deck. Which is easily used without using all your mana just in case you didn't have enough that turn after playing a fathom or something.

so I tested this deck and well, I just get slaughtered. Only won 1 game cuz the guy wasn't paying attention to what the maniac does. everybody else just destroyed me and then showed me the creature kill in their hand had I played him. IDK. sounded cool. just frustrating.
And now for something completely different.

This deck sucks lol, sounds good in theory but fails on the battlefield unless your opponent is an idiot.

Yes, it really does suck. Nice idea in theory (looks like a deck from Magic 2015 on consoles), but it just does not do the trick.
