Before you write off Skull Swarm, consider that your commander can get the lands that he needs to pay for the commander tax when you play him, so if they keep killing and removing him, you can get to 3-4 copies of skull swarm, which... well, it's half your life rounded up if you can't sac a creature... so... with 4 copies, that's 20 life, 10 life, 5 life, 3 life, which puts them at 2 life from starting unless they have a
Stifle/
Disallow and a counter, or a
Time Stop... or
Flusterstorm, ect. Narrow answers..
Hope it's helpful. This Commander is the perfect excuse to play 8-9 CMC spells and get away with it. Make sure to have a lot of lands that sac themselves to get lands so that you can take advantage of windgrace's minus ability when you cast him. That way, there is little that people can do to stop you from getting a lot of land and a lot of landfall triggers.
