Hey,

first of all, you're 2 cards over the limit. ;)

Then, about your land base: I reccomend to clean up here. My golden rule: "If it always enters tapped, it needs to have a significant effect". After the clean up, Circuitous Route should become less interesting, better replace it with Cultivate, Rampant Growth or Skyshroud Claim.

What about Phyrexian Reclamation for some Recursion?

Since you don't have that much creatures with defender, Overgrown Battlement could be replaced with Urborg Elf.
You say Prison Cell, I hear 'Holiday'.

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

That's why it is marked as in Progress  ;)

Yes I know, thats my first attemp for a more or less budget mana base. If the rest of the deck is ok, i will have a look at the mana base.

You are right, recursion and card draw is a problem for this deck.

Since you don't have that much creatures with defender, Overgrown Battlement could be replaced with Urborg Elf.

I didn't even know about that dude. It will go right into my wants list

Well, even on a cheap budget, I prefere not to use the tap lands. Especially in green decks, there is ALOT of ways for colorfixing without using them. But okay, at this point, I tend to prefere speed. If you play a tap land in turn 4 (assuming you missed no land drop), you're manawise still in turn 3. If you have no 4 mana drop, it's not a big deal, but if you have one, this may delay your whole game plan by one turn.

One way to negate this is to use a lot of mama rocks. It doesnt give you ramp though, it just kind of balances out the fact that your mana is slower. There is always amulet of vigor.
My King Baby said yes!
I thought you'd never ask
Also, I always spell your name correctly, Red_Wurm.  :)

Please, it is Red
